The Team
The purpose of the Procurement team is to focus on all indirect (non-merchandise) purchases and function as an internal consultant for the rest of the organization. This includes sourcing, contracting, supplier management, operations and reporting; ensuring products and services meet the required standards and/or specifications set by the business, and are cost effective. As a result, the team is responsible for partnering with functional operational leads and the Controlling department, to efficiently manage the Opex spend and some re-occurring Capex expenditure. The Procurement function plays a crucial role in identifying external spend and cost-saving opportunities, reducing expenses in line with functional needs, enhancing expenditure to be more focused and effective.

The Team collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand business need e.g., Operations SC&L, and with other functions such as IT, for example on the adoption of business-facing technology and systems. In addition, the team works with Business Finance to understand overheads and margins, and with EMEA Hub Teams to provide clear guidelines that govern local buying.

They also research the market for new vendors that can deliver valuable services/goods to PVH and in collaboration with the business ensure vendor performance. Additionally, there is a strong focus on enabling our vendors to help implement our company’s sustainability targets.

The Position
As Director – Supply Chain & Logistics Procurement, within the Procurement team, you will play a fundamental role in guiding the end-to-end procurement process in the priority area of Supply Chain & Logistics. You will be responsible for building a sourcing strategy for each subcategory and bringing the heads of (SVP / VP) for the area along in the decision-making processes. Together with your team and other stakeholders, you will deliver projects and initiatives to impact total TCO of goods and services and ensure innovation from a well performing vendor base in all relevant category areas.

The Supply Chain and Logistics Procurement Director will also work together with and provide input to the Procurement Center of Excellence / Operations team. This is a specialized team that provides leadership, training, and support to improve procurement best practices across the organization (while utilizing automatization and doing research in the areas of machine learning and artificial intelligence).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the 3-year Supply Chain Procurement Strategy, objectives, priorities, roadmap within the sourcing area

  • Proactively identify best Supply Chain and Logistics solutions & service in the market (attend Supply Chain conferences, monitor publications, etc.).

  • Shortlist and roadmap of solutions 'fit-for-purpose' with the 3–5-year strategy set by the Head of Logistics / SVP Global Logistics.

  • Drive the Procurement strategy for all Supply Chain & Logistics areas

  • Plan and implement a proactive Procurement strategy in the respective areas bringing macro innovation through knowledge and vendor selection.

  • Build together with Supply Chain & Logistics the Future Landscape, which will deliver the best TCO, quality, innovative solutions whilst maintaining risk level and ESG / I&D considerations.

  • Play a key role within the macro knowledge building for PVHE to ensure we are making decisions with longevity.

  • Manage the vendor performance process ensuring vendors perform and include contingency planning for key areas.

  • Setup and maintain preferred vendor list per spend category while also optimizing the current vendor master data to reduce one-off and non-strategic spend by leveraging and building upon existing and new (long term) partnerships.

  • Deliver best in class vendors and solutions across the whole of PVHE in a challenging international environment

  • Deliver best in class vendors for all projects within the Supply Chain & Logistics teams and collaborate were needed with all Supply Chain & Logistics teams in Amsterdam, US and Hong Kong when there is an overlap.

  • Collaborate and influence the relevant stakeholders in Technology (where a system / license / software is required to be sourced from an external vendor).

  • Drive the problem-solving process: frame problems, guide analytical modeling, and through analysis provide insights into solutions

  • Be a key contributor to the Procurement Center of Excellence.

  • Setup and manage the category managers and buyers in these categories

  • Manage the Supply Chain & Logistics Procurement team.

  • Cross functionally collaborates with Technology, Marketing and other category areas

Requirements
The preferred candidate is a dynamic leader, motivated by building and sustaining a skilled and engaged team, with deep expertise in Procurement in Supply Chain & Logistics. You have been accountable for driving, operationalizing and prioritizing key initiatives from ideation to delivery. You are passionate about fostering a high-performance culture to enhance team performance and engagement. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in the following:

  • Proven knowledge of procurement strategies and ability to apply in practice

  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional projects strategies and initiatives, aligned to commercial and business goals

  • Growth mindset, and willingness to go beyond area of expertise

  • Expertise in strategic planning and execution

  • Deep understanding of Supply Chain & Logistics procurement category, or relevant alternatives

  • Ability to design and implement scalable programs

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, track key metrics, and report on the progress of initiatives and opportunities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in preparing executive presentations and facilitating decision-making for senior leadership teams

  • Demonstrated success in project management, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and ensure the effective execution of initiatives

  • Proven agility and ability to adapt to new ways of working; championing future processes, interfaces and ways of working

  • Strong leadership skills, guiding their team to achieve excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement

  • Maturity in leading through change during a period of business transformation, supporting others through ambiguity

  • Minimum of 10 years+ experience in managerial role:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent experience in Procurement environment

  • MCIPS Preferred.

  • Knowledge and high acumen in Excel, BI, Tableau, Ariba / Coupa P2P, Co-Pilot (AI Knowledge)

  • Preferred – Followed a recognized negotiation training (GAP – etc.)
