The Team


As part of the Finance team, Credit Control is responsible for ensuring the timely payment behaviour of our customers. This will result in a balanced ageing of our A/R ledger, a solid cash position, low DSO and minimal credit risk.

The Position


Based in Amsterdam, the Credit Controller MEA+ will be responsible for ensuring timely payment behaviour of our customers. This will result in a balanced aging of our A/R Ledger, a solid cash position, low DSO and minimal credit risk.

This position is based from our Amsterdam office, and you will be required to work on-site for a minimum of 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the A/R aging

  • Contact customers regarding overdue invoices

  • Resolve payment differences/disputes

  • Communicate with the credit insurance company regarding credit limits, overdue customers and legal proceedings

  • Partake in regular credit reviews to maximize delivery performance whilst minimizing credit exposure

  • Monitor deliveries blocked for credit and if deemed possible release for shipment

  • Assist in maintaining customer master data

  • Reconcile payments

  • Inform and liaise with sales/customer service

  • Maintain various control files/reports

  • Assist the credit analysis team in their decisions

  • Proper execution of the decisions taken during the credit review

  • Monitor correct and timely allocation of payments

  • Monitor and follow up on legal cases

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have previous experience within a similar role

  • Previous experience working with MEA+ market (Middle East & Africa Region) is preferable

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting

  • Strong numerical admin skills

  • Advanced excel skills

  • Ability to multi task and prioritize workload

  • Self disciplined and self motivated attitude

  • Fluency in English, with fluency in 1 other European language desirable
