POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Designer works closely with the direction of the Designer II and Design Director, Global Licensing and Lifestyle Concept Design to create the seasonal concept stories from ideation to consumer. Working from customer, competitor, trend and business insights to research and develop seasonal messages from concept to market launch, creating templates and tools to share with the design teams and cross functional teams. The Assistant Designer will support translating the Global Concept direction into more category specific design direction for licensed products for Home and Legwear and ensure alignment from Concept to Market.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Concept Focus:
- Research, collate and support the development of seasonal story boards including customer, season, mood, key products, and storytelling.
- Assist in building showrooms as needed to display the seasonal concepts.
- Support the creation of a digital format that is shareable to all teams.
- Manage and return borrowed samples to appropriate teams.
- Maintain in-house material, sample and color libraries.
- Coordinate packages being sent and received from licensees.
- Collaborate with the team on building concept decks for licensed product.
- Support building of design presentations requested by brand leadership.
- Work on additional concept projects as needed by the business.
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:
- Stays up to date on trends and can translate the trends that will sell for the brand to drive sales
- Knows the distribution and regularly visits stores and ecomm to hindsight how concepts land
- Understanding of the competitive climate and brand adjacence’s at all consumer touchpoints throughout the year
- Ability to put together creative presentations
- Excellent collaborator with all functions
- Ability to navigate change in a fast-paced industry

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- At least 0-2 years of demonstrative experience in fashion/design business, in a design role.
- Ability to collaborate with designers and cross-functional roles of all levels.
- Ability to communicate to senior management in a clear, precise, and effective manner.
- Must demonstrate curiosity and is motivated to learn new skills and knowledge.
- B.A. (or higher) in Design, Graphic Design or Product Development.
- Employ a strong project management skill set (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closing) to handle multiple projects and objectives while maintaining flexibilities to changing priorities and demands.
- Proficient in MS Office suites, Adobe Suite, Keynote, Miro
Pay Range:$59,000---$85,200PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
