The Team
The Customer Service and Import team is responsible for managing stakeholder relationships and coordinating import operations across all channels in Turkey. In a dynamic and fast-paced environment, we strive to provide exceptional service and ensure the smooth and timely delivery of merchandise based on customer needs, sales targets, and regional requirements. Working closely with sales, logistics, and supplier teams, collaboration, strong communication, and a passion for efficiency and success are the foundations of this team.
The Position
Reporting to the Customer Service and Import Supervisor, the Customer Service and Import Specialist will play a key role in managing stakeholder relationships and coordinating import activities to ensure smooth and timely delivery across all channels in Turkey. The Specialist will collaborate closely with sales, logistics, and supplier teams to align import schedules with market demand and company objectives, support decision-making through shipment tracking and issue resolution, contribute to the continuous improvement of import and customer service processes, and act as a key liaison between local teams and international partners to ensure compliance with import regulations and seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Order-book management by season, by brand, by category and by stores align with sales teams
Follow-up import operations and necessary documentation
Carry out the necessary steps for tariff and document checks with the Customs Broker according to the legislation
Organize and manage international transportation
Cost control of import files and timely hand over the files to the accounting team
Monitor monthly KPI reports of all 3rd Parties; customs broker and transport company
Assist the projects within the project scope and objectives as well as ensure all technical and operational data
Attend meetings with Amsterdam head office on a weekly basis and take the required systemic and operational actions
Attend weekly meetings with the Amsterdam head office, European vendors, and the local distribution center to coordinate and execute necessary systemic and operational actions.
Entrance of necessary data in SAP and report the outcome accordingly
Note: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those listed above. The role may require additional tasks and duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department and organization.
Measures of Success
Team engagement and feedback from key stakeholders.
Percentage of shipments cleared and delivered on schedule.
Compliance Accuracy: Number or percentage of shipments fully compliant with customs and import regulations (zero violations or fines).
Cost Efficiency: Reduction in import-related costs, including duties, tariffs, or demurrage charges.
Documentation Accuracy: Percentage of shipments with error-free import paperwork.
Inventory Turnover: How efficiently imported goods are processed and turned over in inventory.
Supplier and Carrier Communication Efficiency: Timeliness and accuracy of communication with suppliers and carriers regarding shipments.
Order-Book Management: Ensure accurate segmentation of order-book data by season, brand, category, and store with 99% data accuracy, and maintain regular alignment with the sales team through weekly updates.
SAP Data Entry and Reporting: Maintain SAP data entry accuracy above 98%, and submit operational reports on time with clear, actionable insights.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics;
2 years of relevant experience in similar role in a multinational and structured environment
Ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively across functions and levels of seniority
Proficiency in MS Excel (including pivot tables and financial modeling), PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools
Fluent English is a must
