Position Summary

The Design Lead – Accessories (Men’s & Women’s) is responsible for shaping and driving the creative direction of bags, small leather goods, and belts across both genders. This role requires a strong understanding of youth culture, global streetwear trends, and sustainability, paired with the ability to translate the Tommy Jeans brand DNA into impactful, commercially relevant collections.

You will lead the full design process from concept through execution, collaborating closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Marketing, and Sustainability to ensure innovative, trend-driven, and market-ready collections.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Direction

  • Lead the seasonal design vision for Men’s and Women’s accessories (bags, SLG, and belts).

  • Translate brand strategy and seasonal creative concepts into bold, relevant, and youth-focused product collections.

  • Develop mood boards, material and color stories, hardware design, and product details with a Tommy Jeans attitude.

Product Development & Execution

  • Deliver accurate design packs including sketches, CADs, and technical specifications.

  • Partner with Product Development and suppliers to review samples and ensure design intent, quality, and cost targets are met.

  • Incorporate sustainable materials, finishes, and processes into the collection in line with brand and PVH sustainability goals.

Collaboration

  • Align with Merchandising on product assortment, pricing architecture, and market needs.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure product storytelling aligns with seasonal campaigns.

  • Work with cross-functional partners in Development, Buying, and Sales to ensure timely delivery and execution.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Guide and mentor junior designers in the accessories team.

  • Foster a collaborative, dynamic, and innovative team culture.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Fashion/Accessories Design or related field.

  • 7–10 years of experience in accessories design, ideally across both men’s and women’s categories.

  • Proven expertise in bags, SLG, and belts design for a streetwear, denim, or youth-focused brand.

  • Excellent knowledge of construction, materials, and hardware development.

  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite and 3D design skills; strong sketching ability is a plus.

  • Experience working with global markets and suppliers.
