POSITION SUMMARY:

All brands strategy, product development and innovation are led and driven by certain PVH affiliates in the US with respect to products under the Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger sold in NA, Asia and SA; and in the Netherlands with respect to products bearing the Tommy Hilfiger Europe, Calvin Klein Europe with respect and sold in the Asia region.  The position in this job description helps the above mentioned PVH related parties meet their operating and strategic needs.

  • Support the product development and commercialization process working in collaboration with the internal / external cross functional partners (Design, Merchandising, Raw Materials, Technical Design, Hubs, Vendors and our factories) to deliver a product with a strong focus on meeting the business requirements for quality, aesthetic and timelines.
  • Strong focus on meeting the business requirements for quality, target cost and timelines.
  • Maintains collaborative internal cross functional and vendor relationships to drive for future opportunities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support the partnership between Design, Raw Materials, Technical Design, Sourcing to ensure that product being developed meets all requirements, within the targeted cost.
  • Lead Product and Color Risk Assessment with Quality, Tech Design, Product Integrity Team, Material & Color Team.
  • Be knowledgeable of cost breakdowns and what-if costing scenarios to propose alternative development options to hit cost and margin targets for best possible manufacturability of design intent and production.
  • Support and partner w Tech Team to the creation of the category “tool box” including all pre seasonal components with associated component cost structure to ensure design has the tools to be responsible for cost.
  • Ensure factories have all product required information such as material, design intent, color, fit, Product specifications to enable all Sample deliveries on time in great quality.
  • Support data integrity within PVH Supply environment
  • Manage schedule and forum to complete and hand-off required Tech packs or Project info to vendors.
  • Actively participate in seasonal product reviews with design, tech and merchandising to evaluate sample execution, ensuring tech pack adherence.
  • Communicate with cross functional teams and vendors regarding all issues pertinent to accurate execution of samples throughout development process.
  • Partner closely with cross functional partners, hubs and vendors to resolve escalated product related issues, evaluate root causes and share corrective actions.
  • Create strong relationships with the vendor and supplier matrix while maintaining clear knowledge of all their strengths, capabilities, specialties, and innovations.
  • Work with hubs and vendors on sample development and management.
  • Think & work out of the box, multitask and juggle ad hoc projects and processes for quick & accurate turn around.
  • Proactive management of potential issues and drive to resolution with cross functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred with 5 years of experience in apparel manufacturing.

Skills:

  • Understanding of Apparel development critical path management and the interdependencies.
  • Cross-functional collaborator and influencer.
  • Possess leadership presence potential.
  • Knowledge of PLM /WEB PDM/ Adobe a plus.
