A day in the life Design Intern at Tommy Jeans.
Join our Tommy Jeans team as a Fashion Design Intern, where you'll have the opportunity to blend your love for fashion, print, fabrics, and textiles with real-world experience.
As an intern, you'll help translate the latest trends and research into unique, on-brand designs, working closely with our talented creative team. You’ll be involved in the entire design process—from brainstorming fresh ideas to refining prototypes—while also building your skills in garment construction, textile development, and more!

Intern responsibilities:
• Trend translation: Bring your trend research to life by shaping designs to meet project needs.
• Skill development: Sit side by side with our creative team to upskill your knowledge of product design.
• Sketch & design: Create original sketches and contribute fresh design ideas.
• Research support: Help prepare research boards and stay at the forefront of trends.
• Presentations: Assist with preparing design decks, digital presentations, and studio product showcases.
• Prototype reviews: Participate in prototype reviews, take essential notes, and help track changes.
• Cross-functional teamwork: Collaborate with product development and merchandising teams to ensure seamless workflow.
• Tech-savvy tasks: Update CADs, tech packs, colour-ups, and trim sheets using your high-level skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, and PowerPoint.
The ideal candidate
• Studying Fashion, Womenswear, Menswear, Textiles or similar course.
• You have a high taste level in design and a love for fashion. Solutions minded approach with regards to tasks and enjoy being part of a friendly, creative and supportive team dynamic
• Experience in Adobe illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel & Word, PowerPoint, with any other program a bonus.

Internship must-haves
• Located within approximately one hour traveling time from the Amsterdam Office
• Eligible to work within the EU
• Must be enrolled in full time continuing education
• Available from 01 Feb 2025 for a 6-month full time program
• Our internship program primarily focuses on practical experience and skill development; therefore, we are not able to support research focused internships.
