Buyer Outlet The Team Within the Outlet Buying team, our mission is to ensure the Global Outlet product strategy is adapted to meet the specific needs of the region to maximize Outlet performance & growth, while ensuring a clearly segmented and legally viable collection. This position serves as the backbone of the Outlet Buying team, collaborating closely with Global, Hubs and wider CK teams to drive overall commercial performance. With an integral position in the team, the role contributes significantly to the department’s operational efficiency, strategic growth and overall success.  The Position The Buyer Outlet will report to the Senior Manager and is responsible for managing product assortments across European Outlet stores. The Buyer will oversee product assortments and buying strategies, ensuring alignment with Outlet sales objectives and business targets. This role requires strategic thinking, market awareness, and cross-functional collaboration to drive product performance and maximize profitability. Key Responsibilities: • Product Assortment & Strategy: Own and manage the product assortments for Outlet, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends. Make strategic decisions regarding product selection, tiering, and pricing to drive profitability and meet customer demand. • Sales & Market Performance: Analyze and interpret sales data, market dynamics, and competitor activity. Develop actionable insights and strategic recommendations to adjust buying strategies, optimize product performance, and capitalize on emerging trends. • Buying strategy and Execution: Ownership of Outlet product buys including store tiering down to the option level. Collaborate with Planning, VM, and Commercial Teams to define the capacity, flow, and product assortment by store tier. Ensure product availability aligns with sales plans, while optimizing inventory levels to drive full price sales and maximize key Commercial moments. • Product Lifecycle & Margin Management: Align and partner with Planning on the entire product lifecycle, from initial allocation and buy quantities, replenishment, markdown strategies, and phase-outs. Work with the team to ensure products are managed effectively to maximize margin and sales performance throughout the lifecycle. • Strategic Meeting & Reporting: Prepare and present detailed analyses and strategic recommendations at key meetings such as Investment/Buy Reviews, Business Strategy Discussions, Weekly trade meetings, Hindsight meetings, and regular training sessions and connection points with Global and Hub teams. Provide insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, guiding key decisions on future buys and product assortment strategies. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Planning & Allocation, Outlet Store Lead, Visual Merchandising, Full-Price teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure that product assortments align with brand and marketing strategies. Ensure smooth execution of product launches and marketing initiatives. Reporting & Data Management: Take ownership of all product-related reporting, data analysis, and documentation. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key performance metrics, including sales performance and stock levels. Measures of Success Sales & profitability performance: Net Sales, ST rate, MD rate, Margin, ASP Product selection and assortment productivity: high levels of assortment success including full price sell out performance of new collections, ROI in key category offense and investment areas, and testing of new ideas and product to bring Outlet to the next level of growth. Stock efficiency: high levels of stock turnover rate, and healthy weeks of supply and stock to sales ratio to maintain optimal inventory levels that maximize sales In-Store Execution: strong alignment with VM, Planning, and Commercial Lead to capitalize on key commercial moments and promotional time periods that align with consumer and landlord expectations. Global + Regional Alignment: Must-buy assortment adoption, segmentation with full price Requirements • Able to work in a fast paced, matrix based, challenging environment. • Proven analytical, planning and organization skills with the ability to generate meaningful data insight to take commercial decisions.  • Proficiency with merchandising software (e.g., SAP, Excel) to track and manage product assortments. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both regional and global teams. • Problem solving advanced understanding of how to solve complex problems and critically assess the solutions required   • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. • Commercial Acumen: strong business and commercial acumen skills. • Fluent English both written and verbal. • Ability to travel as needed for market visits, trade meetings, and store events. • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
