Global PVH Applicant Privacy Policy

This applicant privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to you and your personal data because you are applying for a position at PVH Corp., or any of its affiliated companies (“PVH”).

PVH is an international company with many different establishments in different countries. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, PVH, as the entity to which your job opportunity is allocated, is responsible for the protection of your personal data (the data controller).

This Privacy Policy explains how PVH uses the information (“Personal Data”) that it collects and processes from you as part of the recruitment process for PVH. PVH is committed to maintaining your privacy. In particular, PVH will collect and process your Personal Data it obtains from you through the online application platform at careers.pvh.com as well as all underlying web pages (“Website(s)”).

Information we collect from other sources:
When you apply for a position, we may collect information about you from other sources, including:
background check information from employment screening agencies or publicly available registers (as permitted by law), or references obtained during recruitment
publicly available professional profiles on websites or social media (e.g., LinkedIn)
demographic information (such as education/work histories, academic/professional qualifications, and employment histories)
human resources data, such as job title and role; and academic and professional qualifications information.


We may receive such Personal Data from current and past employers, employment and recruiting agencies, references, government agencies, educational institutions, certification bodies, and background check providers.

Other information, including Personal Data, may be collected through automated means such as the collection of IP addresses, the placement of cookies, and other data captured for logs and to monitor and improve the functionality of our website.

Purpose and legal basis
We will use your Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • Application procedure: PVH has a legitimate business interest in recruiting new employees and to take steps prior to entering into a contract with you. As part of the application procedure and depending on the regions and/or the function you apply for we may check your background by performing or having a reference check performed by PVH or by a third party.
  • To contact you about future career opportunities: PVH may use your Personal Data to contact you about future career opportunities – and if required by law only if you have provided your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you wish to exercise this right, please contact us using the details set out below.
  • Assessments: Depending on the job opportunity you apply to; we may ask you to perform an assessment. PVH will always inform you prior to any assessment taking place. It is in PVH’s legitimate business interest to find the candidate best suited for the job.
  • Performance: PVH uses your contact details to invite you to fill out a satisfaction survey. This allows PVH to improve the recruitment process. PVH has a legitimate interest in using your Personal Data in order to improve its business processes. 
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, violations of law, or intellectual property infringement.
    Internal reporting including but not limited to inclusion and diversity where legally permitted.
  • To comply with our legal obligations, for example to respond to legally binding requests from regulators, law enforcement authorities or other government authorities.
  • To perform security and efficiencies monitoring in the ordinary course of business


2. Who has access to your Personal Data?

We may share your Personal Data with third parties under the following circumstances:
Service providers and business partners. We may share your Personal Data with our service providers and business partners that perform business operations for us. For example, we may partner with other companies to deliver communications to you, conduct background checks, or to process your application on PVH’s behalf. We authorize these companies to use your Personal Data only as necessary to provide these services to us.
PVH Affiliates. We may share your Personal Data with our subsidiaries and affiliates for the purposes specified in this Policy.
We may share your Personal Data with authorized associates of an entity of PVH if this is necessary for the handling of the recruitment procedure, to enter into a contract with you or as otherwise necessary for the purposes described above,
Law enforcement agencies, courts, regulators, government authorities or other third parties. We may share your Personal Data with these parties where we believe this is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, or otherwise to protect our rights or the rights of any third party. Where permitted by law or regulation and reasonably practicable, we will attempt to notify you of such requirements.
Asset purchasers. We may share your Personal Data with any third party that purchases, or to which we transfer, all or all of our assets and business. Should such a sale or transfer occur, we will make reasonable efforts to try to ensure that the entity to which we transfer your Personal Data uses it in a manner that is consistent with this Policy. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or use of your Personal Data.

3. How long will PVH keep your Personal Data?


Your Personal Data is retained no longer than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which PVH collects and uses it. In the EU, PVH retains your Personal Data which you submit when applying for a position within PVH until four weeks after the position you have applied for has been filled, or – with your consent – for one year after the position has been filled. After the retention period your Personal Data will be deleted unless we are permitted or required by law to retain your data for a longer period.
In the United States, PVH retains your Personal Data which you submit when applying for a position for up to five years from the date you submit your data, unless you are offered and accept the position, in which case the Personal Data is kept for the duration of your employment.
In other regions PVH retains your Personal Data for no longer than is legally permitted in the jurisdiction in which the position is located.


4. What measures does PVH take to protect your Personal Data?

PVH takes appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the Personal Data it processes against accidental or unlawful processing, such as protecting against unauthorized access, disclosure, damage, or loss of Personal Data.

5. Does PVH transfer your Personal Data to other regions?

PVH may transfer Personal Data to PVH data environments, PVH affiliates, or to third parties around the world, including regions outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Brazil, Asia for technical or operational reasons or to comply with laws.
PVH will take the measures based on applicable law that are necessary to ensure the lawful transfer of your Personal Data.

6. What rights can you exercise in relation to your Personal Data?

Depending on where you reside, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of your Personal Data. If you are not satisfied with the way we use your Personal Data, you can make a complaint with us through the contact details below and/or with your local Privacy Regulator or Supervisory Authority.

7. Changes to this Policy

PVH may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. These changes will be announced on the Website of PVH. If there are any substantial changes made to this Privacy Policy during the term of the recruitment procedure, we will inform you via email.
