Summer 2025 Internship Details: 

  • Program dates: June 2 to August 8 

  • 10-week program with 35-hour work week 

  • Hybrid, onsite work schedule: Tues, Wed & Thurs in office  

  • Internship location in NYC 

  • Compensation: $22/hr + a $2500 stipend 

  • Applicants must be able to commit to full-time hours and the entire length of the program. 

  • Applicants must be undergraduates and/or those actively enrolled in a specialized/technical certification program 

 

What to Expect and important dates to keep in mind: 

  • Applications close: February 28, 2025  

  • Required: Initial screening conducted by our recruiting team virtually 

  • Final interviews conducted by our hiring teams virtually beginning late February into early March 

  • Internship offers will be extended by the recruitment team at the end of March into early April 

  • If you are applying for a design or creative internship (fashion design/technical design/graphic design), please be sure to provide samples of work (online portfolio, illustrations, flat sketches, and/or 3D renderings) 

 

Job Title: Intern, Technical Design  

 

 

 

Job summary 

The Tech Design department owns technical packages from product development to pre-production spl approval. Tech Designers execute proto fit on a development stage and is responsible for proto fit and fit comment for Showroom Samples and fit approvals. The Team works closely with design, supply, global merchandising supply as well as external vendors daily to support the best products execution for the brand. The internship will support all apparel categories.  

 

Your primary responsibilities will include:  

  • Knowledge on reading technical package  

  • Capable of understanding of design details and construction of samples 

  • Proactive on learning and willing to help on projects 

  • To support the Technical Design team in a daily basis base on priorities  

  • Organize and prepare samples for fitting 

  • Support Technical design on sample tracking  

  • Attention to details 

  • 3D program knowledge is a plus 

 

Education 

  • Rising junior or senior undergraduate student preferred, pursuing a Fashion Design BFA, AAS or other related field with intention to work in Fashion Design upon graduating 

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA in core major classes preferred 

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

 

Experience / Skills 

  • Previous relevant internship / work experience or proven curiosity about the industry  

  • Proven academic leadership or extra-curricular activity preferred 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), CAD; experience in any PLM system is a plus but not necessary.  

  • Strong analytical skills with data-oriented approach 

  • Well organized, detail oriented, strong written and oral communication skills 

  • Forward thinking, able to problem solve; self-starter with strong ability to meet deadlines and expectations 

  • Great teammate with an eagerness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment working across multiple teams 

Pay Range:

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
