The Team
The Supply Value Chain department in PVH Europe oversees the end-to-end network connecting the company with its suppliers and customers. The team drives both strategic and operational initiatives to enable a modern, efficient, and compliant supply chain that supports the business’s commercial and sustainability objectives.
The Position
The Manager, Product Development is responsible for leading the product development process from initial design concept through commercialization. This role ensures the accurate, timely, and cost-effective development of products that meet aesthetic, technical, and customer requirements.
Leveraging strong product expertise, the Manager, Product Development partners closely with Design, Merchandising, Production Operations, Raw Materials, Technical Design, and external vendors to deliver styles aligned with the design vision and business KPIs. The role operates with a high degree of ownership, navigating complexity, driving cross-functional alignment, and ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
· Act as a key liaison between Design, Raw Materials, Technical Design, AMS Product Development teams, vendors, and hub offices to ensure product execution meets aesthetic, quality, and cost targets
· Support and strengthen cross-functional partnerships to deliver product within targeted cost parameters and calendar milestones
· Collaborate with AMS Product Development to:
o Analyze, negotiate, and confirm factory costings
o Create, maintain, and manage cost logs from sketch through proto phase
· Own proto and SRS ordering, tracking, and timely delivery through SMS
· Ensure accurate creation, maintenance, and updates of BOMs and product data in PLM, including: composition, attributes, UPS, interface, and system accuracy
· Manage the handover of samples prior to bulk production, ensuring readiness and alignment across teams
· Accountable for on-time and in-full delivery of all proto and development samples
· Represent Product Development in cross-functional milestone meetings, driving clarity, alignment, and efficient decision-making (e.g., color & concept reviews, sketch reviews, proto reviews)
· Track and manage approval status of AMS PD and proto samples
· Oversee sample management for cross-functional reviews and design meetings
· Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and drive solutions in a fast-moving development environment
· Support continuous improvement of product development processes, tools, and ways of working
Ideal Candidate
· Minimum 5+ years of experience in product development and/or pre-production within a complex, cross-functional environment
· Experience within wholesale and/or vertical retail product development preferred
· Strong technical knowledge of product construction, development processes, and manufacturing methods
· Solid understanding of PLM systems and operational workflows, with the ability to ensure data accuracy and system discipline
· Proven ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively, balancing multiple styles, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations simultaneously
· Demonstrated capability to operate successfully in a fast-changing, high-paced environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and timelines
· Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to drive deliverables through ambiguity and change
· Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels
· High attention to detail combined with a structured, solution-oriented mindset
· Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese, with the ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and external partners
· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to plan strategically in line with business needs and cost targets
· Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
· Experience with Centric PLM, SAP, and CAD is a strong advantage
