POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Global Transport Control Tower (GTCT) team sits within the corporate Supply Chain function at PVH and is passionate about powering a world-class, data-driven Supply Chain through exceptional data & analytics, driving impactful business decisions and insights. GTCT strives for excellence in ourselves and logistics partners. Data is foundational to master the “Three Ps”:  procurement, performance, and payment.

Working as a part of the GTCT team based in India, the Manager, Transportation Control Tower is responsible for leading end-to-end transportation visibility, execution, and performance management across all modes and regions. This role serves as the operational nerve center for transportation activities, ensuring proactive management of shipment flows, carrier performance, service disruptions, and exception resolution to support business continuity and customer service objectives.

The role directly manages a team of transportation analysts and coordinators located within the Global Service Center (GSC), providing leadership, governance, performance management, and operational direction to ensure consistent execution of transportation processes across the regions.

The candidate will work closely with other members of GTCT, our commercial regions and service providers, to solve critical business problems utilizing data and business process analysis skills.

The ideal candidate combines transportation expertise, operational leadership, analytical capability, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills to drive service excellence, cost optimization, and continuous improvement across the logistics organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

General Responsibilities:

  • Present quantitative insights in a simple & effective way to leadership
  • Lead daily transportation control tower activities across ocean, air, and logistics networks.
  • Oversee transportation visibility and milestone management across all regions and business units.
  • Establish proactive monitoring and exception management processes to identify, escalate, and resolve transportation disruptions.
  • Individually manage the delivery of day-to day and ad-hoc requests supporting GTCT and our customers as required
  • Ensure adherence to transportation policies, routing guides, service-level agreements, and operational standards.
  • Identifies best solution for satisfying business analytics use cases.
  • Partner with the Supply Analytics team to ensure accuracy and consistency in logistics data.
  • Directly manage a team of transportation analysts and coordinators within the Global Service Center.
  • Establish team objectives, performance metrics, workload allocation, and service expectations.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and career development activities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, customer service, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with GSC leadership to ensure resource planning, succession planning, and capability development align with business needs.
  • Develop team expertise in transportation systems, analytics, carrier management, and exception resolution.

Strategy:

  • Work Closely with Product Manager/ Business Analytics and business teams to monitor and track GCTC’s contribution to PVH’s strategic priorities.
  • Provides management visibility into data-driven insights that inform the business’s strategic direction and KPI’s.
  • Supports business executives and departmental leaders in making strategic, data-driven decisions regarding new products, additional use cases, customer segments, investments, among other subjects.
  • Contributes insights into the continuous improvement of the overall analytics environment.

Collaboration:

  • Partner with other GTCT leaders to influence data and analytics capability roadmap, looking at flow of data end to end.
  • Collaborate with supply chain business partners to define requirements for multiple countries aligned analytics deliverables
  • Collaborate across brands and regions to standardize and simplify toolset, data hierarchy, methodologies, metrics, and reporting.
  • Partner with brands and regions to model out and quantify value of initiatives.
  • Work to gather and document all functional and technical requirements of all business use cases.
  • Provide inputs into prioritization of tasks

  • Participates in data conferences, workshops, seminars, and so forth.
  • Brings new ideas and techniques to the team to inform the analytics roadmap and deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Experience:

  • 7+ years of transportation, logistics, supply chain, or control tower operations experience to include service provider management
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including management of remote, offshore, or shared-service teams.
  • Experience leading transportation operations across multiple regions and transportation modes.
  • Experience managing teams within a Global Service Center, Shared Services, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), or Center of Excellence environment preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Science or similar quantitative field required, Master’s degree a plus
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Skills and Competencies (Must have)

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Expertise in transportation operations, carrier management, and exception management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), visibility platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive organizational change.
  • International transportation experience
