POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Merchandising Manager is a leader for the Women’s Merchandising team, responsible for creating and executing merchandise strategies to meet or exceed financial plans while leading, collaborating, and communicating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all projects are moving towards the financial and calendar goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Understands working financial metrics to analyze multiple businesses & can make recommendations on how to drive each business based on sales, history & market trends
  • Aligns with planning on seasonal receipt plans by division and dept that support merchandise strategies, penetration shifts between core & fashion & climate/store tiering opportunities in order to deliver topline results
  • Ability to develop & drive dept strategies for each business. Analyzes LY info. as well as current market to support strategy development. Identifies how current trend will impact future results and adjusts as needed
  • Partners with VP on categories to grow & decline based on identified opportunities keeping in mind sku counts & store space/fixturing limitations. Focus and stand for the important and meaningful segments of each business by store tier and climate profile
  • Leads their team to drive results at the department level. Provides timely direction and clear communication to all team members. Builds relationships with internal and cross-functional teams through effective collaboration & participles as a solution oriented team member
  • Plays a strategic role in the evolution of a fast-paced womenswear line, partnering closely with Design to shape and assort the collection in a way that reflects the brand’s global vision and long-term creative direction. This collaboration ensures each season’s assortment aligns with departmental strategies, delivers on financial targets, and upholds the integrity of the brand aesthetic.
  • Drives strong partnership w Production team to drive cost efficiencies, ensure margin targets are met, and align on sourcing strategies.
  • Understands competitive set, including pricing, style & key messaging and uses knowledge to make sound recommendations for depts
  • Cultivate talent & mentor direct reports– conduct timely coaching sessions to provide feedback regarding growth & development for next level position
  • Clearly communicate expectations and implications. Ensure the team has all the tools needed to deliver on their responsibilities
  • Ability to work/communicate overall vision and financial strategy with licensee
  • Demonstrate ability to manage up, down and across with successful results

QUALIFICATIONS:

       

  • Experience in Women’s product management/Buying, preferred
  • 7-9+ years of related merchandising/ buying experience
  • Experience in managing at least 2 direct reports (at least one merchant)         
  • College Degree
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Motivation to exceed plan
  • Financial analysis capability
  • Strong cross-functional relationship building with strong skills at collaboration and negotiation
  • Ability to manage direct reports and drive results through others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong financial and planning skills.
  • A demonstrated sense of design and understanding of how to consistently convey our brand to the consumer
  • Will act in place of when VP is not available.  Will have influence and make decisions regarding: marketing, in store presentation, style/fit details, windows, and financial meetings
  • Will have significant influence on development line architecture and financial plans. This role is integral in driving style/color assortment, cost decisions as well as investment by store tier
  • Must demonstrate a solid understanding of fashion trends and provide input to Design relative to channel needs

Pay Range:$143,200---$193,300

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills. PVH is committed to providing a market-competitive total rewards package to eligible associates, which includes diverse and robust health and insurance benefits to meet the varied needs of our associates and an above-market 401(k) contribution to help our associates save for retirement. Additional Compensation: This role is bonus eligible. This role is equity eligible.
