The Team
The Product Merchandising department plays a key role in setting and implementation of the product strategy in line with the Brand Vision, and interacting with all other departments throughout the Collection Development (Design, PD, Buying & Planning, EMEA+ Sales teams).
Footwear is part of overall portfolio of TH products (apparel, footwear, accessories, close to body and licensing), and part of the key product groups and growth drivers in the World of Women.
The team is composed of very talented individuals who work as a team and support each other’s with the common goal of ensuring continuous growth and achievement of all set KPIs through the development of strong Collections, which respond to the Markets’ needs whilst driving the brand forward to become the favorite premium lifestyle brand on the marketplace.
The Position
Collection Planning & Development:
• Manage the collection by breaking down business objectives, while continuing to build strong brand equity & commercial success.
• Provide the range plan and collection architecture according to product strategy, and ensure all product related info are timely updated and communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze sell-in and sell-out of the relevant categories, competitor and market trends to identify opportunities and make necessary recommendations from a commercial perspective, addressing not only the past but also an evolution and growth for the future.
• Constantly monitor and achieve merchandising KPIs: topline growth target, healthy price/margin value, product lifecycle in accordance to amortization plan and collection efficiency based on management target.
• Attend key milestone meetings during development process.
• Create strong tools to allow impactful collection presentations to management and to Markets during Key meetings, as well as to Design and Development during proto & product reviews.
• Work closely with Market Merchandising and the sales teams (wholesale and O&O retail/E-Commerce), to gather important qualitative and quantitative feedback to develop product which positions us close to the end consumer needs.
• Efficient reporting for planning and evaluation to support (management) decision-making.
• Be a strong steering partner to PD and design teams throughout the different steps of the collection building process.
• Master use of PLM system throughout the collection development for product maintenance and data accuracy.
Partnership:
• With your merchandising lead peers (footwear and apparel counterpart) to constantly collaborate and seek opportunity that aligns to the rest of product categories within each label gender delivering brand-right, consumer-centric seasonal assortments, product stories and big ideas.
• With key stakeholders and cross-functional (design, PD, supply chain) partners in building commercially strong Footwear collections, while ensuring margin targets, price point architecture, Hero styles, volume drivers, etc., are all successfully executed.
The Ideal Candidate
• BA degree
• 5+ years work experience in product merchandising (Footwear category) or product management.
• Understanding of EMEA+ Footwear product requirements and development process, and ability to translate the needs into the collection.
• Developed merchandising and commercial sense and passion for/understanding of fashion trends and how it relates to consumers.
• Excellent organizational, communication and project management skills (managing capsules, fast track collection, new product categories or other initiatives).
• Ability to present verbally and visually in engaging and effective way.
• Precision and accuracy.
• Excellent time management skills (work on tight agenda and set deadlines) and able to reprioritize activities in agile way in accordance with manager inputs.
• High level of analytical skills and ability to drive effective conclusions/actions from data analysis.
• Able to handle pressure while working on multiple tasks, providing high quality work results.
• Natural team player, embracing team mentality and collaboration.
• Proactive attitude and fast learner.
• Able to deal with ambiguity.
• Strong presentation skills
• Computer and digital tools literate - Excellent skills in using MS office programs, with particular focus on MS Excel and Power Point and PLM system.
