POSITION SUMMARY:
All brand strategies, product development, and innovation are led and driven by certain PVH affiliates in the US with respect to products under the Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands sold in NA, Asia, and SA; and in the Netherlands with respect to products bearing the Tommy Hilfiger Europe and Calvin Klein Europe brands sold in the Asia region. The position in this job description helps the above-mentioned PVH-related parties meet their operating and strategic needs.
Ø Supports the raw material team and ensures data integrity in the PLM system
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES To support the Raw Materials and Sourcing function for CTB (underwear and bra categories, with specific focus on intimate fabrics, yarns, elastics, and related components. The role will assist the Senior Raw Material Technician in development tracking, vendor coordination, costing support, and quality follow‑ups, acting as an execution anchor in Sri Lanka.
Assist in sourcing and development of:
o Circular knit fabrics (single jersey, rib, interlock)
o Bra fabrics (tricot, simplex, power net, mesh, spacer, lace)
o Functional yarns (nylon / polyester blends, elastane, microfibers)
· Support development and approval of:
o Fabric qualities, stretch & recovery parameters
o Hand feel, GSM, opacity, and comfort requirements
o Elastics and key Intimate trims as needed.
· Track all the above with the development tracker and ensure accurate real-time updates regarding approvals, testing, and costings
Vendor & Mill Coordination
· Coordinate with Sri Lanka–based and regional suppliers:
o Fabric knitting mills
o Elastic suppliers, Bra cup suppliers
· Follow up on:
o Sample requests
o Development timelines
o Testing and compliance documentation
· Act as first‑level coordination support before escalating Sr Technician Raw Material
Costing & Commercial Support
· Assist with fabric and elastic costings
· Track and maintain information in PLM:
o Price revisions
o MOQ changes
o Lead times and capacity constraints
· Support comparison of alternate fabrics or yarn constructions for cost or performance optimization
· Be a key contact for all SCMT to ensure data updating is done in real time
Quality & Compliance Support
· Support tracking of:
o Stretch & recovery performance
o Shrinkage and colorfastness
o Skin‑contact compliance and restricted substance requirements
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS
Internal Contacts: Raw Material team members
External Contacts: Raw material counterpart and vendors
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct: Senior Raw Material Technician
Indirect: Raw Material Manager
DECISION MAKING
Prepare material swatches & coordinate raw material to send out to the overseas office counterpart.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in:
Textile Technology
Apparel / Fashion Technology
Sri Lanka textile institutes/universities preferred
Experience or internship exposure in underwear/bra / intimate apparel fabrics
Hands‑on or support role involving stretch fabrics, elastane‑based materials, or bra fabrics
Junior / Trainee: 0–1 years (with strong intimate fabric exposure)
Executive: 2–4 years in raw materials, fabric sourcing, or development for intimates
Technical Knowledge (Expected Level)
Working knowledge of:
Stretch & recovery behavior
Nylon / polyester + elastane constructions
Bra material performance requirements

Strong follow‑up and coordination ability
Basic textile knowledge is required.
Detailed, team player, and initiative.
MS Office and Outlook are basic; preferably have experience with PLM or ERP.
