POSITION SUMMARY:

If you thrive in a culture of trust where you and your unique viewpoint matter, the PVH Supply Data & Analytics (SDA) team is for you.  This team is passionate about unleashing the full potential of a data-driven Supply Chain through exceptional data and impactful insights.  The Senior Analyst is a critical role unlocking our data driven priorities.

Working as a part of the SDA team, the Senior Data Analyst will leverage their technical and analytical skills on reporting & analytics deliverables to empower PVH Supply stakeholders with data & insights to make informed decisions. The ideal candidate must be well experienced in building data sets, reports, and dashboards with exceptional quality. They must also possess self-motivation and drive to take a project from concept to delivery while leveraging the tools and assets available.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Conduct detail data discovery and data quality analysis (using Excel, PowerBI, Databricks) to validate business requirements and deliver high quality data products for PVH Supply
  • Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and address inconsistencies with the guidance of SDA management
  • Work with SDA leadership, business stakeholders and IT to quantify impact, conduct root cause and address data quality issues
  • Enhance PowerBI data models and visuals as needed using robust best practices to ensure performance and long-term maintainability
  • Prioritize work, ensuring data product priorities are delivered on-time and with high quality
  • Understand evolving Internal Supply chain systems landscape and architecture
    • Analyze data from multiple supply source systems and harmonize for analytics use
  • Perform variety analyses, hypothesis testing, and causal analyses to statistically assess data trends and propose solutions
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders - US SDA counterparts, IT Data Engineering and Data Modeling teams, Brand and Business stakeholders to deliver results
  • Conduct testing and validation of data products and reports
  • Deliver against ad-hoc data analysis requests as needed to support the analysis of supply chain disruptions within PVH Supply

DECISION MAKING:  Day-to-day decisions on data and reporting development tasks. Elevate issues to the appropriate channels.

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:                  

  • Comfortable working with incomplete or inconsistent data sets, changing business needs and evolving strategic direction.
  • Able to translate data results into easy-to-understand visuals and concise executive summaries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Self-motivated to seek connections, ask questions and challenge assumptions to understand underlying business needs and design solutions accordingly.
  • Must be able to identify opportunities in business problems and alleviate them through data-oriented solutions.
  • Must be eager to learn business and technology and flexible to upskill/cross-skill.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.

ENVIRONMENT: The Senior Data Analyst will be part of the existing PVH Supply Data & Analytics (SDA) team in the Bangalore office. They will report directly to Manager, Data & Analytics based in Bangalore and work with US SDA counterparts and business teams.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data & Analytics, Engineering, Science or similar quantitative field required

Technical Skills (Must have)

  • 3+ years’ PowerBI experience delivering self-service analytics, insights, KPIs and metrics in a BI or related role, preferably in a Sourcing and Supply Chain area.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Databricks
  • Strong expertise with data mining using SQL
    • Ability to query and manipulate datasets using SQL.
    • Ability to write complex queries to model business rules.
    • Solid understanding of Dimensional data models.
  • Strong expertise with MS Excel (Pivot tables, look-up formulas, handling large volumes of data).
  • Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence.
  • Exposure to AI tools and concepts, including ChatGPT

Other Skills (Good to have)

  • Strong client-facing written and oral communications skills in English
  • Experience applying analytics in a Supply Chain environment, preferably in Apparel/Fashion industry
  • Ability to collaborate across cultural and geographic boundaries
  • Eager to learn with a passion for understanding the story behind the data
  • Adaptability
  • Strong organizational skills and a drive for achieving goals
