The Team

The Global Consumer Brand Experience team is responsible for crafting immersive, multi-sensory environments that captivate consumers and drive brand loyalty. Through Retail Concept Design, Visual Merchandising, Windows & Showrooms and Store Experience, we elevate engagement across all channels and markets with a 360° approach.

Balancing creativity with commercial strategy, we ensure global consistency with local adaptability, shaping the physical identity and consumer experience across retail, wholesale, and pop-up environments. Together, we create compelling spaces that inspire consumers and reinforce Tommy Hilfiger as a leading lifestyle destination.

The Position

The Vice President, Global Visual Merchandising is a recognized expert within the company, responsible for defining and implementing innovative visual merchandising strategies that drive brand storytelling, product presentation, and consumer engagement. This role requires specialized depth and breadth of expertise, solving unique and complex business challenges with broad impact across global markets.

The VP leads functional teams and projects, overseeing premium, consistent, and impactful visual merchandising across all channels, while enabling tailored local adaptations for regional audiences. This position anticipates internal and external business challenges, recommends process and service improvements, and collaborates with executive leadership to influence global VM strategies.

This role operates with no supervision in a complex environment, driving cross-functional collaboration across merchandising, regional teams, and key stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of creative direction and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Creative Direction

  • Develop and oversee the global collection presentation strategy, ensuring alignment across Full Price, Franchise, Wholesale, Travel Retail, and Outlet stores.
  • Define and implement global FP and Outlet-specific VM guidelines, ensuring consistency while allowing for local adaptations.
  • Lead the execution of seasonal styling directions, VM principles, and capacity planning, aligning with brand storytelling and commercial strategies.
  • Provide thought leadership and recommendations on VM innovations, leveraging data, emerging technologies, and consumer insights.


Performance Optimization & Commercial Impact

  • Define global KPIs and assess VM effectiveness, measuring impact on traffic, conversion, dwell time, and sell-through rates.
  • Oversee financial strategy and budget planning, ensuring cost-efficient, ROI-driven VM execution across regions.
  • Partner with global business units and planning teams, optimizing product visibility, storytelling, and space utilization to drive revenue growth.


Execution & Regional Adaptation

  • Ensure the successful execution of global VM strategies, providing targeted support for regional teams.
  • Develop and manage a global-to-local Model Store strategy, ensuring adaptability across DTC and wholesale channels.
  • Monitor global VM execution, gathering insights and driving continuous improvement through seasonal reporting.


Training & Leadership Development

  • Design and lead the VM Academy curriculum, ensuring skill development across regional and local teams.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams, providing coaching, direction, and strategic guidance.
  • Prioritize health, well-being, and work-life balance, managing team priorities and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.


Innovation & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing and product teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all physical touchpoints.
  • Lead VM strategies for special initiatives, including collaborations, capsules, and key product launches.
  • Collaborate with global store design teams, influencing window displays and in-store experiences to reflect brand evolution and consumer trends.


The Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in global visual merchandising, with a track record of leading diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute innovative VM strategies, balancing creativity, commercial impact, and regional adaptation.
  • Expertise in omnichannel VM, ensuring seamless consumer experiences across physical retail, e-commerce, and digital storytelling.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management, ROI-driven decision-making, and performance KPI measurement.
  • Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and executive influence skills, with experience aligning teams and engaging C-suite stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
