Position Summary:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for driving APAC region financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, while also serving as the central consolidation hub for regional reporting. This role leads the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles, develops comprehensive financial models, and partners with country finance teams to analyze performance against plans. A key focus is driving the standardization and automation of reporting processes, overseeing the timely integration of regional decks, corporate submissions, and system uploads to deliver accurate, high-quality insights that support strategic decision-making and optimize business performance.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities Of The Job:

Reporting Consolidation & Standardization

  • Lead initiatives to automate and standardize financial reporting processes across the APAC region to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in data delivery.
  • Take ownership of the consolidation and roll-up of Preview Packages, presentation decks, and Quarterly FP&A meeting materials for regional leadership.
  • Partner with country finance teams to troubleshoot data discrepancies, ensure quality control on submissions, and drive a "one-source-of-truth" approach to financial data.

Corporate & System Submissions

  • Handle all Corporate submission requirements, ensuring data accuracy and strict adherence to tight deadlines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving Daily Sales Flash-related issues and other system/process queries affecting regional reporting.
  • Manage key system uploads and maintain data integrity across regional platforms.

Financial Planning & Performance Analysis

  • Analyze actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement to support strategic decision-making and optimize business performance.

Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial planning efficiency and effectiveness across the region.
  • Drive the standardization of reporting templates and workflows to reduce manual effort and increase scalability.

Ad-Hoc Analysis & Business Partnership

  • Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with regional and country teams to provide financial insights on business performance and identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to cross-functional stakeholders, bridging the gap between data and business strategy.

Knowledge/Skills Required

  • FP&A Background: Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, specifically within a regional or multi-market consolidation capacity. Retail/MNC industry preferred.
  • Consolidation Expertise: Strong ability to manage and consolidate large volumes of data from multiple markets into a cohesive narrative for senior management.
  • Technical Proficiency: Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced experience with report consolidation and automation tools is critical.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP / SAC preferred) and planning tools. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is an advantage.
  • Process Improvement: A proactive mindset focused on driving automation and improving the efficiency of recurring reporting cycles.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across corporate, regional, and market teams.
  • Language: Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
  • Strong understanding of corporate reporting cycles and requirements.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and manage multiple consolidation projects simultaneously.
  • Keen attention to detail and a high level of accountability for data accuracy.
