CRO Developer
The Team
This position will form part of the Digital Consumer Operations team, which is responsible for all digital consumer operations, with a mission to help deliver best-in-class digital experiences across all markets and DTC channels. This team plays a critical role in providing the insights, tools and capabilities needed to drive commercial growth, consumer engagement and retention through excellence in customer experience, digital product development, and eCommerce and consumer analytics. This team collaborates across multiple functions, including the Brand teams, global and regional IT and the Global Analytics team to enhance the digital consumer experience, providing each brand with data-driven actionable insights to inform their strategy, commercial priorities and roadmaps.
The Position
As a CRO Developer, you will be at the heart of driving experimentation and optimization across the Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein digital platforms in EMEA. Reporting to the Senior Manager Customer Experience, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, client-side A/B tests and experiments using Optimizely (Web). Your work will directly contribute to improving key UX and commercial KPIs through fast, data-driven iteration.
You will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product owners, analysts, and developers to ensure that experiments are technically robust, user-friendly, and aligned with brand guidelines. You will also provide technical guidance for server-side testing and work to ensure statistical validity and test integrity including identifying and addressing issues.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, QA, and deploy client-side A/B and multivariate tests using Optimizely (Web) across desktop and mobile platforms
Work with designers, analysts, and product owners to technically scope and implement CRO hypotheses
Support implementation of server-side experiments and advise development teams on best practices and integration approaches
Ensure clean, performance-optimized code that adheres to web standards and brand guidelines
Monitor test performance and help diagnose technical or data-related issues
Collaborate with analytics and product teams to evaluate test results and support rollout decisions
Maintain a backlog of test ideas, documenting outcomes and contributing to a shared optimization knowledge base
Help standardize processes for test development, QA, deployment, and reporting
Keep up to date with CRO tools, technical experimentation capabilities, and evolving front-end best practices
Measures of Success
Timely and error-free deployment of A/B and multivariate experiments
Clear uplift in target metrics such as conversion rate, engagement, or task completion
Stable test setups with clean attribution, tracking, and no SRM or implementation issues
Positive feedback from cross-functional teams on collaboration and technical guidance
Contribution to a robust and scalable testing infrastructure across brands and markets
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
5+ years of experience in front-end development or CRO engineering within eCommerce or consumer-facing platforms
Deep expertise in client-side experimentation using Optimizely (Web)
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including DOM manipulation, event handling, async behavior)
Experience supporting or integrating server-side testing workflows
Strong understanding of experimentation principles, statistical validity, and pitfalls like SRM
Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., GA, Adobe Analytics) and tag management systems
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with designers, analysts, and developers
Agile and sprint-based working experience within cross-functional teams
Passion for optimization, performance, and continuous learning
Experience in fashion or lifestyle brands is a plus
