The Team

The Calvin Klein eCommerce team in Europe is responsible for driving the end-to-end digital business growth across the region. This includes the owned and operated eCommerce site (ck.com) as well as the Marketplace business, covering key strategic partners such as Zalando, About You, and others. The team oversees all commercial, operational and digital marketing functions to ensure a premium, brand-aligned consumer experience across every touchpoint. Working in close collaboration with global, regional and cross-functional teams, the eCommerce organization plays a pivotal role in accelerating Calvin Klein’s digital growth and innovation agenda in Europe.

 

eCommerce Commercial Team

Within the eCommerce team, the Commercial Team’s mission is to build a commercially driven team with a strong focus on product, trading and business growth to elevate online performance. The team drives eCommerce expansion and premiumization through insight-led commercial planning and platform performance optimization, while collaborating closely with the wider CK teams on strategic alignment and commercial performance.

 

The Position

As Manager eCommerce Commercial Planning, you will play a pivotal role in the eCommerce team. You will drive the eCommerce in-season planning strategy in response to online consumer trends, including key sales and promotional moments. Serving as the key connector between the CK EMEA eCommerce team and the regional merchandising planning, buying, omni planning & allocation and Paid Media / Traffic teams, your work will be key to the CK eCommerce team's strategic growth and overall success in the region. You will report directly to the eCommerce Commercial Director and dotted line to the Senior Director trade & allocation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Planning: Build Commercial plans and forecast in-season trends for eCommerce channels at a Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Seasonal / Yearly level. Build and review commercial KPIs (Sales, Traffic, ATV, UPT, MD, Margin) for the Channel in partnership with finance and buying & planning teams.

  • Planning, Buying, Finance, Marketing collaboration: Partner closely with Merchandise Planning, Finance, Omni planning & Allocation, Buying and Paid Media / Traffic teams to align upcoming strategies to build the commercial trading calendar, as part of the Merchandise and Financial Planning process. Ensure Commercial Plans are tied to the financial budgeting and forecasting process.

  • Trading Hindsight: Input into hindsight reviews of commercial trade results, with insights & analysis focused on transactional KPIs, effectiveness of marketing, promotions, markdowns and other trading levers, to inform forward-looking trade calendar development.

  • Promotion strategy: Oversee, develop and curate a compelling online product promotion strategy tailored to the online consumer demand, ensuring alignment with brand vision and market trends.

  • Analytics and insights: Utilize data analytics to predict sales trends, manage stock levels and optimize inventory turnover to meet consumer demand in close collaboration with the central FP planning team.

  • Commercial strategy: Execute pricing regulations and translate them into actionable commercial strategies.

  • Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell-through rates and profitability and generate reports to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with onsite Merchandising, Buying, Planning and Marketing teams to synchronize online product launches, promotions and inventory management.

  • Continuous improvement: Implement and exploit new systems and processes to continually improve efficiency.

 

 Measures of Success

  • Commercial Impact: Total sales revenue, profit growth, sell-out, conversion rate, margin rate, average order value.

  • Planning accuracy: high levels of forecast and KPI accuracy across commercial planning.

  • Product & Return Outcomes: Category contribution, return impact, markdown efficiency.

  • Commercial Contribution: Campaign readiness and stock management

  • Insight Quality: Timeliness, accuracy, and actionability of product and customer insights

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify and articulate trends, risks, and growth levers

  • Cross-functional management and alignment: Partner with Planning, Marketing, Buying and Omni/DTC teams to ensure commercial alignment, fast execution, cross functional accountability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in eCommerce planning, buying or merchandising within fashion, retail or consumer goods organizations.

  • Deep understanding of online consumer behavior, pricing strategies, compliance and digital trading levers.

  • Strong commercial and results-driven mindset, with the ability to balance commercial goals with operational execution.

  • Strong analytical skills, with an advanced understanding of how to solve complex problems and critically assess the solutions required.

  • Advanced understanding of data analytics tools such as Excel and PowerBI.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and presenting to senior stakeholders.

  • Highly adaptable and proactive, thriving in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment.

  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to develop, mentor and inspire high-performing teams

  • Fluency in English

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or economics preferred
