The Team
The Tommy Hilfiger Global Consumer Brand experience team is responsible for providing consumers the most compelling store and showroom experience through concept design, visual merchandising and windows across all channels and markets. Working collaboratively with the APAC, Americas and EMEA regions, this central team delivers the strategy, concepts and tools needed for regional rollout.
The Windows and Creative Concepts design team oversee the creative strategy and seasonal concepts for windows, showrooms & pop ups worldwide, working in close collaboration with Global Marketing to bring our big brand stories to life in our consumer touchpoints.
The Position
The Manager Global showrooms concept design role is part of the Consumer brand experience team reporting to the Senior Director Windows & Creative Concepts. This role is responsible for the design, development and installation of our global and satellite showrooms, working collaboratively to deliver world class showrooms spaces to excite and engage our wholesale partners and retail buyers to drive sales of our products
Be the responsible owner of the showroom spaces and deliverables
Design and implement all seasonal concepts for the global Amsterdam TH & TJ showrooms and satellite showroom spaces, producing on-time and within budget
·Work with the senior director and production and development manager to develop and implement effective strategies to strengthen global alignment on budgets and project planning to ensure Regions can action and execute our global directives with excellence in our global and satellite showrooms
Partner with and coordinate with the production and development team, showroom ops specialist and project manager to plan effective showroom build ups and takedowns.
Partner with production and development team and project manager to deliver comprehensive toolkits to enable clear and consistent showroom set ups
Build effective working relationships and partner with design and product teams, business units, marketing and VM teams to ensure effective collaboration to deliver outstanding showroom launches
Work with the Production and development manager to ensure all showroom set ups are within budget
Manage the design development and approval process of all concepts, including briefing readiness, design revisions and final delivery of approved designs and communication to global regions
Work closely with production suppliers/vendors to ensure excellence from sampling, prototyping, final production, logistics and installation
Collaborate with regional teams on to ensure key deliverables & execution standards are met and guide, monitor the design and build up process
·Implement a clear reporting and feedback process to ensure standards are being met
Partner with creative teams across the department and business to ensure visual alignment across
Lead a team of design specialists and operations specialists including talent development
Oversee team project planning and priorities ensuring on-time delivery of deliverables and consistent creative output, in close collaboration with Project Manager
Be onsite and available for all showroom launches and build ups in the Global showroom
Work with the Concept production & planning team to ensure design and production process works seamlessly, ensuring all prototyping, sampling and sustainability processes are adhered to and delivered for best quality and execution.
Bring continual innovation and experimentation through new practices and mediums, processes and materials
The Ideal Candidate
Related university degree + 5 years’ work experience, preferably leading a multi disciplined team
A passion for global retail and design trends
Experience partnering with a design/prop production agency
Ability to time manage responsibilities in accordance with deadlines
Proven Showroom creative concepting experience and operational skills
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Autocad, SketchUp and V-Ray rendering software preferable
Excellent knowledge of Outlook and Excel
Ability to time manage responsibilities in accordance with deadlines
Ability to lead through example and inspire a highly effective team
Fluent English communication skills [written and spoken]
Can communicate confidently at all levels
