Position Overview:
We are seeking an open-minded, curious, and detail-oriented Material Sourcing Specialist to join our sourcing team in Vietnam. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to our material sourcing and sustainability efforts for our footwear and accessories supply chain, with a focus on keeping close connection with our material suppliers to implement and improve material sourcing KPIs, ensure traceability, and foster collaboration. The ideal candidate will combine good knowledge of materials with strong analytical skill (textile, leather, hardware), proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and a passion for problem-solving. While based in Vietnam, this role will also oversee aspects of our European supply chain. In the phase two, once the KPIs are automatized the candidate will move his contribution into the material supplier elevation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Material Sourcing KPIs Implementation and Improvement:
o Engage with the material suppliers to gather all the relative information for evaluating sourcing KPIs
o Gather, analyze, and interpret data from internal systems to implement pre-defined material sourcing KPIs.
o Regularly evaluate and improve KPIs, ensuring they align with company objectives and that are relevant for the suppliers and the internal peers.
o Work with the operation excellence team to make clear, actionable reports using modern tools and Power Point for internal teams and external suppliers.
2. Supplier Onboarding and Management:
o Lead the onboarding of the approved material suppliers onto the company’s systems together with the central supplier management team.
3. Traceability
o Ensure factories and suppliers are correctly utilizing the traceability platform and inputting accurate data.
o Work with the traceability platform to develop new functionality that enhances more in deep sourcing KPIs and help to comply to regulations
4. Sustainability Roadmap:
o Implement the material sustainability roadmap together with the material team and the product development team to make sure it goes beyond the Sustainability Corporate minimum requirements.
o Monitor the implementation of sustainable materials across the supply chain.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with internal departments and external partners to foster collaboration, resolve issues, and implement innovative solutions.
o Prepare professional presentations using PowerPoint to share updates and insights with stakeholders. 6. Material Supplier Elevation
o Work alongside the Sourcing Material peers to evaluate the KPIs and implement a supplier elevation strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5–7 years of experience in material sourcing, supply chain, or related roles (internship experience counts).
Solid-level knowledge of materials such as textiles, leather, and hardware. \
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting. Good knowledge of PowerPoint for creating presentations.
Familiarity with traceability platforms and sustainability practices is a plus. Proficient in English; knowledge of Vietnamese, Mandarin and Portuguese is highly advantageous.
