POSITION SUMMARY:

All brands strategy, product development and innovation are led and driven by certain PVH affiliates in the US with respect to products under the Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger sold in NA, Asia and SA; and in the Netherlands with respect to products bearing the Tommy Hilfiger Europe, Calvin Klein Europe with respect and sold in the Asia region.  The position in this job description helps the above mentioned PVH related parties meet their operating and strategic needs.

• Support and assist the Manager I, Merchandising in day-to-day operation to ensure a smooth approval process of the technical development handover to production. The main focus of this position it to capture all sample fitting and technical comments to update in sample reports and manage the sample approval timeline. A reasonable understanding of cold weather or other new category development is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Liaise with overseas counterparts in Design and Product Development as well as vendors and suppliers, to ensure timely process from product development into bulk production.
• Analyze costing and price negotiations.
• Ensure all prototypes, salesman samples etc. are delivered on time, meeting margin expectations and in accordance with the requirements from customers.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

External Contacts: Factory Developer/Merchandiser

ENVIRONMENT:

• Expected to work in both company office and factory office to review samples

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience:

• College degree or above
• Above 5 years of merchandising experience on Premium Fashion Handbags for International Brands. Experience in Europe market is an advantage.

Skills:

• English level above CET-6 with proven ability to write and speak in English with overseas counterparts.
• Good knowledge on material sourcing and quality and production know-how
• Experience in the technical construction of bags. Leather is an advantage.
• Fast learner and can work independently with good organization skill and able to work under pressure.
