The Team

The Calvin Klein Footwear department spearheads the global footwear development and production for Calvin Klein Footwear. Positioned as one of the company's fastest-growing sectors, it operates within a dynamic, ambitious environment. The Footwear Product Development team operates within the broader Footwear & Accessories department, collaborating closely with Merchandising, Design, as well as both near- and offshore Buying offices. This collaborative effort ensures the timely delivery of high-quality, profitable collections to the market

The Position

The role of the Product Development Coordinator Footwear is to coordinate and support the Product Development process within the different product lines for the Calvin Klein Footwear business, on a daily basis from creative concept into pre-production stage with Design and Product Development located in Amsterdam, Italy, Portugal and China.

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, they coordinate and supports the development and pre-production process with all relevant parties involved (Design, Merchandising, Sales, Product Development), in order to achieve commercial product execution aligns with corporate goals, the calendar (critical path) and financial key performance.

With an extensive passion for footwear, the Product Development coordinator is the key supporting figure and link throughout the entire development process from SRF (Sample Request Form) into SMS (Salesmen Samples) with everyone involved.

• Support the Product Development Managers on the day-to-day work
• Coordinating and supporting in setting up of manuals, processes, best practices as well as key-reviews
• PLM maintenance as a supportive role to PD managers in Amsterdam, Portugal and China
• All shipping related tasks to control, from proto sample shipment to bulk SMS control
• Gatekeeper for the seasonal development calendar
• Setup and maintain product development projects as well as overall company projects
• Think innovative and sustainable in all aspects (process, material and product)
• Communication between internal and external partners to resolve product development related issues.
• Receiving full support from the Senior Product Development Manager and the PD team
• Emphasizing sustainability in both product development and processes

The Ideal Candidate

• A passion for footwear, sustainability and details
• Experience of computer systems (PLM, MS Office)
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Project management skills
• Pro-active, solution driven attitude
• Fluent in English, Italian and/or Chinese is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving ability and solution minded
• Open to travel within Europe and potentially to Asia
