The Position
The Merchandising Coordinator is responsible for supporting the execution of a strong consumer-focused Global collection aligned with the brand DNA and supporting the brand vision. The role is to support the Merchandising Manager based in Amsterdam and collaborates with the other team components based in New York for day-to-day merchandising activities as well as collaborate with cross-functional product creation teams based in New York.
The Key Responsibilities
Responsible for updating, maintaining, and tracking changes to merchandise assortments, always ensuring data accuracy across different systems, and effectively communicating updates to cross-functional teams (Design, PD, and other teams). Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of all relevant systems and tools.
Assist with key milestone deliverables and presentations.
Conduct competitive research, including market trends, pricing, and color analysis.
Lead Go-To-Market activities, ensuring the timely availability of digital assets, linelists, and bulk changes tracker; track and follow up on late additions.
Actively contributes to the improvement of merchandising processes and tools.
Participate in key product merchandising milestones (range plan meetings, sketch reviews, collection framework meetings, proto reviews) in a hybrid capacity.
Analyze financial metrics (best sellers, sell-through, and market insights) to gain strategic visibility on market trends and incorporate this into product strategy to drive business growth.
Support division and carry out administrative and other ad hoc supportive tasks (ie. Meeting preparation, booking rooms, visual tools, etc.
The Ideal Candidate
Interest in a career in Merchandizing, affinity with fashion. Ideally, previous related experiences in Fashion/Merchandising/Buying/Retail.
Strong to proficient computer skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); ability to navigate through systems, knowledge in Miro or PLM/Centric is a plus
Ability to learn quickly and proactive and collaborative approach to work, solutions seeker
Be a positive, flexible, inquisitive team player- Work independently as needed and have strong self-initiative, prioritization, multitask and time management skills
Good communicator verbally & written to work with a diverse group of creatives, able to consider and volunteer opinions and alternative views when needed
Keen to progress a career in a product focused role, willing to show eagerness to learn over time
