POSITION TITLE: Senior Manager, Technical Design
BUSINESS/ORGANIZATION: Calvin Klein
POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Technical Design
LOCATION: 205 W. 39th St, New York
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Manager, Technical Design provides category specific technical support for Calvin Klein Global Supply Chain and the Brand through strong technical proficiency, organization, and leadership performance apparel. He or she is responsible in achieving correct fits and design details from design inception through production top of line within the product development calendar dates. Communicating and collaborating with cross function team on time and actions. This position will focus on Soft Dressing.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Develop industry standard points of measurement, grade rules, and tolerances and set up in Centric PDM.
People management while still owning product.
Interact with Design, Merchandising, in-house Atelier and Vendor / collaborator during proto development to achieve design intent and production feasibility.
Strong technical and pattern skill set to develop all fit block for the development.
Oversee maintenance of all Centric PDM tech packs for category-specific styles.
Create and maintain proto, sample, and production status charts and reference books in conjunction with the compliance approval process for category-specific styles.
Execute and manage proto, and production fittings. Update all fit notes and revised size specs into PDM in a timely manner and pass to the production team.
Ability to clearly communicate pattern correction, spec and fit changes through sourcing to offshore vendors.
Ensure that all protos and samples are reviewed upon arrival for trim and details.
Manage proto and sample review set up, model booking and budget.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years related work experience; 5+ years of experience in a managerial role
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
Skills:
Men’s and Women’s Apparel expertise across multiple product categories in a design studio/creative environment is essential, including knit, woven and sweater experiences
Pattern making and garment construction expertise
Strong understanding of factory manufacturing process
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Proficiency in Classic / WEB PDM /PLM
Microsoft Office Suite
Internal: Design, Merchandising and Sourcing teams
External: Factories and external vendors
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct: Not at present
Indirect: N/A
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Budget decisions within the confines of a preset budget.
DECISION MAKING:
Seasonal execution
Issue resolution in partnership with internal GSC Sourcing Teams / leaders
Product decisions for execution in the production pipeline
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Must be solution-oriented and be willing and able to find creative solutions to complex problems.
ENVIRONMENT: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.

Pay Range:$130,000 - $160,000PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
