About the Role

Reporting to the Application Manager, you will support SAP application stack including SAP ECC 6, BW & XI middleware. You will focus on activities supporting SAP ECC6 environment including responding to Helpdesk requests and ensuring key processing across the main processing modules of SD, MM & FI continue to run smoothly.

Based at our Head Office in the heart of the CBD, located at 388 George Street 2000, this is a full-time, 14-month fixed term contract, working from home and in the office weekly. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and 2 support on SAP issues and be the bridge between business users and SAP technical teams. Escalate issues with internal external support teams as required.  
  • Ensure IDOC’s are cleared and resolved and train users the correct procedures to eliminate errors.
  •  Provide a service to the specified areas of the business to ensure that they are provided with the best tools for them to work productively.
  • Consult with business unit management and personnel to obtain additional information during system development and evaluate alternatives.
  • Consult with personnel to identify and document business processes (As-Is) and seeks to understand business objectives considering operational procedures, problems, inputs and outputs and usage to propose (To-Be) requirements and processes.
  • Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.
  • Write and maintain functional specifications for new or modified business systems.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development, quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
  • Consult and coordinate with systems analysts, programmers and third-party service providers to design and develop automated business systems.
  • Participate in project work and change requests, undertake analysis of current processes, document business requirements, liaise with other team members on proposed solutions, assist with user acceptance testing and the development of end user documentation and support procedures.
  • Create system documentation to embed system knowledge with IT team and end users.

About You

  • Proven experience in maintaining configuration and support of SAP SD, MM & FI modules.
  • Strong functional knowledge of the relevant core business support packages and the skills to apply that knowledge to leverage the package and to provide functional designs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand and interact with users and train others.
  • Facilitation skills and the ability to manage small projects and change requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to map processes and identify process improvement.
  • Practiced in gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or business experience in a similar function.
  • SAP AFS experience (Preferable).
  • ABAP skills and BW application is advantageous.
