POSITION SUMMARY:

All brands strategy, product development and innovation are led and driven by certain PVH affiliates in the US concerning products under the Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger sold in NA, Asia and SA; and in the Netherlands concerning products bearing the Tommy Hilfiger Europe, Calvin Klein Europe with respect and sold in the Asia region.  The position in this job description helps the above-mentioned PVH-related parties meet their operating and strategic needs.

  • The Wash Tech provides technical support for DCOE for all brands, specializing in positions within the fashion and garment manufacturing industry. This role blends technical expertise, creativity, and leadership, focusing on achieving desired finishes, managing wash processes, and ensuring product quality

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Interact with Design and PD during proto development to achieve wash standards for development and Samples
  • Interprets wash design briefs and translates them into physical samples that meet design expectations
  • Give technical input on feasibility, cost implications, and production timelines
  • Document test results and maintain wash library/samples archives for future reference
  • Familiarity with sustainable practices
  • Strong problem-solving and innovation skills
  • Supervise and participate to the development, wash and maintenance of the wash in production.
  • Oversee the fabric and approve the level.
  • Update all wash into PLM promptly and pass to the production team.  Ability to communicate the wash specification and changes through factories and the sourcing team. 
  • With Factory, ensure that all wash and samples are approved in testing and safety for all countries
  • Supervise the wash and shade band for bulk production.
  • Support Indian sub-continent

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience:

  • 6-10 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of washing
  • Strong knowledge of chemicals in laundry
  • Safety and testing requirements for all countries
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • A professional and mature person with a commanding presence. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • AA or BA degree in fashion related major

  • Proficiency in Classic / WEB PDM
  • Management and organization 
  • Wash experience and factory knowledge
  • PLM
  • Excel, Word
