The Senior Design Manager, Womens partners with the VP of Design to translate the Global Design brief into seasonal concepts and leads execution within Womenswear. This role drives the creative development of the North America collection, ensuring it reflects global brand direction while meeting regional consumer needs, merchandising strategies, and margin goals. The Senior Design Manager oversees the full design process—from concept to final execution—and leads a team of designers, fostering creativity, collaboration, and accountability. They work closely with cross-functional partners, including Merchandising, Product Development and Technical Design to deliver cohesive, brand-aligned assortments.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the VP of Design to strategically interpret and apply seasonal concept, color, and key item direction in alignment with global creative vision and regional business needs
  • Follows global (EU) design direction and leverages curated styles selected by SVP Merchandising Leadership for the North America market
  • Creates and illustrates cohesive product groups, incorporating solids, stripes, and novelty designs with an understanding of color theory, materials, and garment construction
  • Oversees simultaneous seasonal timelines, balancing in-season execution with forward-looking concepting
  • Collaborates with teams across different departments to acquire original samples, artwork, and cost information; revises or adjusts builds to align with aesthetic and margin objectives
  • Develops and maintains tech packs and BOMs in PLM (Centric) and manages ongoing updates and communication with vendor and PD partners
  • Drives fabric and trim leverage opportunities across channels, where applicable
  • Manages artwork updates and CAD files, ensuring style and color accuracy across all systems and presentations
  • Manages virtual presentation tools (e.g., Visulon) and builds digital boards for internal and external use
  • Leads design input during fit sessions in partnership with Technical Design to uphold brand fit standards and ensure product quality and intent
  • Reviews and approves lab dips, handlooms, and PP samples, including additional colorways
  • Champions cross-functional development meetings, ensuring clear documentation and follow-through of all design feedback and decisions
  • Monitors and implements adherence to key milestone dates, proactively resolving timing or execution risks across the product calendar
  • Prepares and presents compelling design boards and product reviews to leadership and cross-functional teams

Experience:         

  • 7+ years in Apparel Design related experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Fashion Design
  • Deep understanding of the Brand DNA and alignment across categories
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to lead and provide clear direction
  • Must be well-versed in the design process with shown successful design experience
  • Must have proficient knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Web PDM/PLM
  • Must have expertise in fit and fabrication (ex. yarn-dyes, prints, washes, novelty techniques)
  • Strong organization, communication and time-management skills
  • Works both collaboratively and independently to ensure hand-offs and deadlines are met
  • Exhibits passion to support team goals and approaches tasks with solution-oriented outlook
  • Apply creative problem solving skills to constantly evolve processes for more efficiency, agility, and growth
  • 3D experience a plus
  • Ensures brand integrity across product categories
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills for handling responsibilities and addressing tasks independently when necessary
  • Timely approval of design, development and fit
  • Must be self-motivated, credible, great teammate, flexible, organized, and professional at all times
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines
  • Detail oriented and resourceful
  • Must be able to find the best solutions and developing methods to improve efficiency
  • Must be flexible to adapt to changing trends of business and projects
  • Work atmosphere that values teamwork, efficiency, and meeting deadlines
  • Need positive attitude to ensure collaboration, inclusivity and growth

Pay Range:$121,400---$164,300

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills. PVH is committed to providing a market-competitive total rewards package to eligible associates, which includes diverse and robust health and insurance benefits to meet the varied needs of our associates and an above-market 401(k) contribution to help our associates save for retirement. Additional Compensation: This role is bonus eligible.
