Position Summary: (Please provide a brief summary of the overall purpose of this role):
The Senior Manager of Sample Management oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of product samples across Merchandise and Marketing teams. This role ensures that all samples, whether for product development and PDP photoshoots are requested, tracked, stored, distributed, and returned with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is operationally strong, highly organized, and experienced in working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, eCommerce, Supply and Logistics
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities of the Job: (Please list and describe the most important duties of the role):
Sample Lifecycle Management
· Own and optimize the full sample lifecycle: forecasting, ordering, receiving, cataloguing, distribution, storage, and returns.
· Ensure timely availability of samples for merchandising reviews, creative shoots, Ecom & PDP.
· Manage sample request and approval workflows, ensuring proper prioritization across multiple teams.
Operational Excellence
· Develop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for sample handling, check-in/check-out, labelling, packaging, and tracking.
· Maintain accurate sample inventory using digital tools/systems (e.g., sample management platforms, PLM, ERP).
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sample accuracy, turnaround time, loss rate, handling efficiency, and budget adherence.
Cross-Functional Partnership
· Collaborate with Merchandising to ensure sample needs align with buy cycles, product calendars, seasonal strategies, and vendor timelines.
· Work closely with Marketing, Creative, eCommerce, and Brand teams to understand upcoming campaign requirements and ensure samples are delivered on time and in the proper condition.
· Communicate proactively with vendors and sourcing teams to secure product samples in required timelines and formats.
Team Leadership & Development
· Lead, mentor, and develop a sample operations team (Sample Analyst and assistants).
· Foster a highly organized, detail-oriented, and service-focused team culture.
· Manage workload allocation and establish best-in-class operational practices.
· Prioritize work between Head Office and Brooklyn Studio
Logistics, Storage & Facilities Management
· Oversee the organization and maintenance of sample rooms, storage spaces, and check-in areas to ensure cleanliness, accessibility, and efficient layout.
· Partner with logistics/warehouse teams to manage inbound and outbound shipments, customs documentation (if applicable), and packaging requirements.
Qualifications & Experience

Required
· 6–10+ years of experience in sample management, merchandising operations, product development, or related fields (retail, fashion, consumer goods).
· Strong understanding of merchandising calendars, go-to-market processes, and marketing production timelines.
· Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; capable of managing thousands of SKUs and sample movements simultaneously.
· Experience with sample or inventory management software (e.g., Airtable, Centric PLM, NuOrder, internal ERP).
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to build efficient workflows from the ground up.
· Advanced Excel and -Power BI
Preferred
· Retail, fashion, beauty, or consumer product industry experience.
· Experience in photo studio operations, marketing production, or brand campaign logistics.
· Knowledge of global supply chain, sourcing processes, and vendor relationships

Pay Range:$125,100---$169,300PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
