Specialist Operations

The Team

Within the Full Price Buying & Merchandising team, our mission is to ensure the Global Full Price product strategy is adapted to meet the specific needs of the region to maximize DTC performance & wholesale growth, and to ensure operational readiness across the Full Price buying teams. This position serves as the backbone of the Full Price team, collaborating closely with Hubs and wider TH teams to drive overall commercial performance. With an integral position in the team, the role contributes significantly to the department’s operational efficiency, strategic growth and overall success.

The Position

As Merchandising Operations Specialist, you will be crucial to both the Full Price and Outlet Buying & Merchandising teams, contributing to operational readiness for product data, pricing and sales tools in alignment with operational calendar. You will work closely with the wider TH team along with the global team to ensure global and EU systems flow. This role is vital for achieving the Full Price and Outlet Buying & Merchandising objectives and your work will be key to the commercial success of the TH brand.


Key Responsibilities:

  • System Set-Up and Maintenance: Oversee on-time and aligned availability of product data across systems, to ensure they are optimized for Full Price and Outlet collections. This includes evaluating system functionality and ensuring smooth integration with other business systems.
  • Selling Tools Set-Up and Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of effective selling tools that support the teams across Full Price and Outlet channels. Ensure these tools are always up to date and provide actionable insights to drive sales performance.
  • Pricing Set-Up and Maintenance: Oversee the accurate and timely setup of pricing for both Full Price and Outlet collections. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that pricing reflects market requirements, and business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Global and Regional teams to address data discrepancies, ensure alignment across Merchandising operations, and support the timely execution of Merchandising strategies.
  • Process Adherence and Escalation: Guard process alignment and adherence to protect the effectiveness of Merchandise Operations. Escalate atypical matters or deviations from standard procedures to supporting teams and management.
  • Process and Reporting optimization: Identify and resolve inefficiencies in reporting and process flows to improve operational accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Function Lead: Act as subject matter expert to support the team and business. Lead onboarding of new team members and assist in the rollout of new processes within the team, to ensure smooth adoption and operational efficiency.

Measures of Success

  • Data & pricing readiness: accurate and on-time data and pricing readiness at sell in 
  • Product data accuracy & integrity: high levels of product data accuracy, with low entry error rates and low SKU turnaround time
  • Pricing accuracy & compliance: low pricing error rates and time to update pricing, high pricing compliance

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience, preferably in Merchandising Operations for a fashion retailer.
  • Commercial Acumen: Advanced business and commercial acumen skills 
  • Strong analytical skills.  Proficiency in Excel is a must
  • Highly adaptable and proactive, thriving in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment
  • Demonstrates initiative and follows through completely on all aspects of a project
  • Positive and can-do attitude; flexible approach to learning and supportive team mentality
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information both written and orally with more senior stakeholders and team members
  • Fluent English both written and verbal 
  • Ability to travel abroad
  • Education: a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
