Position summary

  • Lead merchandise financial planning, demand planning, allocation and replenishment, and inventory management across all sales channels including full-price stores (incl. concession partners), outlet stores, e-commerce, and wholesale (incl. franchisees)
  • Deliver financial category plans that support sales and margin targets
  • Manage a team of Channel leaders to build category and/or account financial plans that support sales and margin targets and Demand Forecasting and Allocation & Replenishment leaders to ensure inventory levels are optimized to meet consumer demand, drive sales, and maximize profitability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align planning strategies with market trends and business objectives

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive omni-channel merchandise financial planning and inventory strategy aligned with global and regional brand objectives
  • Lead long-range planning processes and support top-down seasonal sales, margin, and inventory plans and strategies to meet corporate financial targets
  • Develop EMEA category financial plans, improve allocation efficiency, and establish KPIs to track effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the FP and Outlet Buying leaders and Wholesale Account teams on merchandise strategies and financial plans to ensure alignment with global direction and regional plans
  • Work closely with global finance, planning, merchandising, design, and retail teams to integrate regional merchandise financial plans and category strategies with corporate financial goals
  • Develop annual and seasonal sales and margin plans, partner with regional buying for historical performance insights, and provide style/colour guidance to inform assortment targets
  • Own buy quantities for DTC channels, partner with demand planning for forward order projections, and reconcile wholesale quantities with line guidance
  • Lead demand forecasting and develop allocation and replenishment strategies to optimize product distribution and availability
  • Manage the open-to-buy process and actively monitor in-season performance to identify opportunities and risks; propose and drive actions to maximize sales and profitability
  • Conduct style-level forecasting, roll up regional forecasts, and manage inventory replenishment and allocation strategies for both DTC and wholesale
  • Manage delivery planning and oversee incoming and outgoing stock
  • Drive pricing, promotions, and markdowns analytics and partner with Full Price and Outlet Buying leaders and teams to define and adjust pricing and promo action plans (within global guidelines)
  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of 10 years of senior experience in omnichannel merchandise planning, inventory management, and financial planning in the retail industry
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing financial plans, demand forecasting, allocation, and replenishment strategies across channels, including DTC, wholesale, and e-commerce
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills with a deep understanding of sales, margin planning, and inventory optimization to meet business objectives
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams with a focus on driving efficiency and collaboration across planning, buying, and merchandising teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex, large-scale planning processes
