The Team

The Financial Operations and Controllership team manages and oversees Consolidation activities and Accounting, Financial Controlling, and Statutory Compliance & Tax activity. The team is responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial accounts, ensuring effectiveness of accounting operations. With an integral position in the team, the role contributes significantly to the region's strategic growth and overall success.

The Position

The Director Controlling is a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing the Controlling function, including end to end  financial close, accounting operations including GPO ownership for EMEA record to Report, and US GAAP group-level reporting. This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of financial information, while guiding the team through continuous improvement, system optimization and strategic transformation initiatives. The Director collaborates closely with leadership to implement corporate strategy, enhance financial performance and support scalable, efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Management: lead, develop and mentor the Controlling team, Build a culture of collaboration, professional growth and continuous learning.

• Financial Reporting: oversee the monthly, quarterly and year end closing procedures, consolidation and reporting to PVH Corp (US GAAP reporting)

• Ensures compliance with US GAAP, internal policies, support Audit requests and SOX compliance

• Collaborates to ensure integrity of the financials (both P&L and Balance Sheet), facilitate best-in-class practices and collaboration between hubs

• Optimize, prepare or review consolidated disclosures information for quarterly and annual filings to the NYSE.

• Preparation and review technical accounting analyses

• Operational and Process Improvement: identify, design and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, reduce cycle time and improve scalability

• Partner with cross- functional teams (FP&A, Treasury, Corp finance departments, Tax, Shared Service Center, local hubs finance) to streamline end-to-end financial close and on various accounting topics

• Serves as a finance accounting advisor to senior management and finance stakeholders

• Drives transformational change in the finance function, including standardization and simplification initiatives.

• EMEA record to Report owner

• Statutory Reporting and Oversight.

Measures of Success:
• Compliance with US GAAP reporting requirements
• Clean audit opinion
• SOX Compliance
• Efficiency in accounting processes

• Balance sheet integrity KPIs are met

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant financial accounting and reporting experience. Experience within retail, supply chain and/or fashion industry preferred

• Accountancy qualification required (US CPA preferred) 

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP

• Experience with resolving / documenting complex accounting issues

• Skilled in BI, strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, SAC, BW, BPC, HANA, Tableau)

• Proactive, organized self-starter able to drive projects to completion and flexible & deadline oriented

• Strong team player, fitting in our casual company culture

• People management and influencing skills as well as being able to make an impact in a Matrix organization with stakeholder management skills at all levels

• Lean Six Sigma knowledge is a significant plus

• Able to clearly articulate finance topics in plain language to various stakeholders. Able to form trusted relationships with (Sr.) Stakeholders

• Proven experience in Transformation and S4 implementation experience from a user perspective strongly desired.

• Proactive, organized self-starter able to drive projects to completion. Flexible & Deadline oriented
