Position Summary:
Responsible for reviewing all post-confirmation samples, providing corrective action and communicating these with vendors/factories to ensure on-time production that meets the quality standards of the brand. Working with the vendors to improve factory production efficiency and ensure correct production standards. An excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques is required to ensure corrective measures are translatable into production and good quality footwear.
Job Duties:
1. Review Extreme Size (EST), Cutting Die Trial (CDT) and Pre-Production Trial (PPT), on time and 1st pass
2. Complete EST and CDT reports and communicate to the factory
3. Ensure on-time approval of all styles and rectify issues arising during sample evaluation
4. Work with factories on content of SOP
5. Ensure consistent fitting and appearance in production with confirmation sample
6. Organize pre-production meeting (PPT), handover styles and SOP to QA and factory
7. Monitor production start and perform in line inspection/walk the lines on a regular bases to follow up on accuracy of production and quality for the full production time
8. Report to planning team production delays
9. Identify and implement innovative manufacturing technologies, continuously improving production processes to enhance efficiency and sustainability
10. Build strong relationships with the factories, collaborate and provide technical expertise to resolve challenges, ensure compliance with quality and brand standards
11. Help with CAP investigations when production issues or claims.
12. Provide weekly reports about PPT results, production status and quality
13. Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
1. College degree or above in Engineering, Manufacturing or related disciplines.
2. 5-8 years in footwear manufacturing and development related role
3. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
4. Good MS Office Skills (Word and Excel)
5. Expected to work in both company office and factory office to review samples
6. Expected to travel domestically to visit China based factories.
7. Could gather and compile accurate information to identify key issues and propose viable solutions. Could articulate thought process and rationale behind decision making.
8. Candidates with more experience could be offered with Sr. Industrialization Technician if needed.
9. The role will be stationed in Putian or Quanzhou City in Fujian Province.
