About the role:
The EMEA Brand Finance team provides strategic insights and guidance to drive the TH and CK EMEA strategy and performance. The team services the dual brand structure to further advance the brand focus. This team looks at Retail Channel Finance for O&O Full Price and Outlet and E-commerce Platforms, and investment management. As a key member of this team, you will drive enhanced business performance, partnering with the Regional Brand EVP and Global Finance Brand Teams to execute EMEA strategies, and provide guidance to operationalize the Brand plan in-market.
As Manager, Commercial Finance, you will support the PVHE Direct to Consumer organization to drive sales, margin, and profitability through financial planning and performance management. This role will help establish performance standards, monitor results, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. Collaborating with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Inventory Management, and Hub teams, you will support both in-season decision-making and long-term planning through robust reporting, scenario modelling, and performance reviews. This role is crucial for ensuring that the EMEA region meets its financial goals and achieves sustainable business success.
What you'll do:
Strategic insights: Provide strategic financial guidance and oversight for the retail business segment, aligned to region-level strategic plans.
Market insights: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge. Work collaboratively with DTC strategy teams to understand market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights, providing valuable input for strategic initiatives.
Annual planning and forecasts: Set annual targets for retail channels and lead the development of financial planning, budgeting, and monthly forecasting processes to ensure alignment with business goals.
Performance reporting and insights: Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business opportunities, assess store performance, and support decision-making on store openings, closures, and renovations. Provide financial insights and regular performance reports to senior leaders, including in-depth analysis of trends, risks, and opportunities, to enhance store-level financial performance and support business decision-making.
P&L management: Conduct regular financial reviews for retail stores (Full Price, Outlet), including sales analysis, P&L management, and margin analysis to ensure profitability and financial health.
Monitor Retail KPIs: Collaborate with retail operations and store teams to develop and analyze store-level financial KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall sales, margin, and profitability objectives.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Inventory Management, and Hub teams to provide centralized guidance and inputs on retail planning, budgeting, and performance management. Lead and facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions to gather requirements and drive collaboration across teams.
Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance efficiency in reporting and analysis.
What you'll bring:
The preferred candidate is a subject matter expert in Brand and Retail finance. You have been accountable for driving, operationalizing, and prioritizing key initiatives from ideation to delivery. You are passionate about fostering a high-performance culture to enhance team performance and engagement. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in the following:
7-10 years of experience in business analysis or related roles, with a focus on Brand Finance, Retail finance, or a related industry.
Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices, including budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and financial analysis.
Proven track record in driving financial performance, cost optimization, and process improvement within a retail environment.
Strong analytical skills with experience in using BI tools (Tableau, SAP BW) and the Office suite.
Pro-active mindset with a strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and influence key business drivers and goals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets and develop data-driven recommendations.
Experience working in Agile or other project management methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
Open, charismatic, and winning personality with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Fluency in English, with additional languages as required.
A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
