About the role:
The Brand Finance team supports the department in reaching its targets by managing the short, medium, and long-term planning, control, and analytical cycles. Their mission is to deliver high-quality planning and insightful analysis that boosts the organization's efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance. With an Omnichannel focus, their work touches all channels (full price, outlet, e-commerce, and concessions) across 27 European markets. The team uses a wide range of tools to provide this support.
The Manager Ecommerce Controlling position reports to the Senior Director Ecommerce Finance & Projects. In this position, you will play a key role in driving the financial performance of our e-commerce business. You will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and reporting financial performance, ensuring informed strategic decision making, and supporting profitable growth through data-driven insights. In more detail, the role includes the following responsibilities:
What you'll do:
Lead the financial planning and analysis processes for the e-commerce business, including budgeting, forecasting, closing of actuals, and variance analysis
Monitor and develop key ecommerce KPIs (i.e., conversion rate, AOV, return rates, ROI, etc.) to drive consumer-centric and data-driven insights
Partner with business stakeholders (merchandise buying and planning, marketing, operations, and logistics, etc.) to optimize financial planning
Organize and coordinate disciplined reporting processes in a global listed company by striving for execution excellence and forging strong partnerships and collaboration within the organization
Support business cases for new (cross-functional) online initiatives, i.e,. by analyzing channel, country, and divisional profitability
Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and reporting standards
Based on seniority, mentor more junior analysts within the controlling team
What you'll bring:
University degree in Business Administration / Finance / Controlling
Approximately 5+ years’ experience in controlling, FP&A, or financial business partnering, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment
Strong analytical skills with experience in using BI tools (Tableau, SAP BW) and the Office suite
Deep understanding of ecommerce metrics, online marketing performance, and digital business models
Pro-active mindset with attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks while looking for ways to improve current processes
Excellent communication skills and able to translate financial data into strategic recommendations
Open, charismatic, and winning personality to be able to handle various stakeholders across the organization and to communicate successfully with stakeholders across levels and cultures
