Lawyers across our regions, Go-to-Market teams for each of its iconic brands – Calvin Klein and TOMMY HILFIGER, Centers of Expertise (COEs) and other critical areas work together closely to serve as strategic business partners to support our business in unlocking the Power of PVH and connecting to our consumers around the world. POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a driven, passionate legal professional to join the PVH Legal Team as a Senior Legal Counsel in our Hong Kong office.
The ideal candidate will have subject matter expertise in employment law (APAC regional experience a plus) and experience in reviewing and negotiating technology-related agreements.
You will work principally with members of the APAC regional Legal team and our global Center of Expertise (COE) for Employment, as well as with business partners to drive fashion forward – for good.
Experience gained in-house (multinational, public company preferred) or in a law firm setting are both welcome. You will be expected to be able to work independently.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Establish effective business partnerships and provide critical legal support to different stakeholders.
Effectively instruct and supervise external service providers.
Provide well-informed, timely and practical legal counseling to your business partners.
Design and implement trainings and processes to achieve sound business practices and corporate governance in relation to the areas of expertise.
Employment Law
Be the go-to person providing legal support to our Asia Pacific local and regional HR team and other stakeholders on a broad range of employment-related matters.
Provide legal support in developing internal policies, processes and guidelines in employment-related matters such as benefits and rewards, retirement schemes, inclusion and diversity.
Provide legal support for handling and management of labour disputes, employment-related claims, enquiries or investigations.
Technology Contracts
Provide practical, knowledgeable legal advice to regional and local business teams, retail operations, e-commerce with respect to technology-related contracts.
Draft and engage in technology-related contract negotiations for the countries in Asia Pacific Region and maintain standardized contract review and administration.
Work with members of the Legal team globally for the review, negotiation and implementation of enterprise-level technology agreements and related statements of work.
ACCOUNTABLITY: Ability to work with minimum supervision and to manage and prioritize substantial and diverse workload. Ability to develop solutions to solve complex problems, including successful navigation of challenges that may arise as multiple departments and individuals with different skill sets and interests become involved. Potential to manage, oversee and develop other members of the Legal team in practice areas.
PARTNERSHIP: Understand needs of business and organization, strong commercial sense and ability to make practical evaluations of risks; dedicated to meeting expectations of internal clients; establish effective relationships by nurturing respect and trust; act with company and colleagues in mind; and commitment to keep matters confidential.
COMMUNICATION: Provide information effectively so others can make accurate decisions; ability to write clearly and succinctly so others understand issues and options; deal comfortably with all levels within the organization; and ability to effectively present facts, as well as controversial topics. Able to influence people and defend recommendations throughout the company.
ENVIRONMENT: Occasional travel (~5%) on ad hoc basis.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
Qualified lawyer with minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in leading law firms and in-house.
Experience in MNC(s) strongly preferred.
Demonstrated familiarity with business and legal practices required, in commercial operations in consumer goods company is preferred, apparel industry is a plus.
Experience with employment law.
Education: J.D., LL.B or its equivalent required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy in work, attentive to details
Knowledge, experience, skills proven track record of ability to very competently lead a complex area of responsibility
Solid experience in contracts drafting and negotiation
Self-motived, willing to listen and learn, ability to work under tight deadlines; ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high pressure environment
Good organizational and time management abilities, with proficiency to multi-task and prioritize workload; solid decision-making skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with service and collaborative orientation
Excellent written and oral English and Chinese, Putonghua is a must; Japanese language skills are a plus
