The Team

The Buying Team is part of the broader Commercial Department, responsible for managing product strategy, selection, and trading across all Calvin Klein DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) channels, including calvinklein.com and Calvin Klein retail stores across Europe. The team operates end-to-end, ensuring a seamless connection between digital and physical channels. Both businesses are growing rapidly, with ambitious targets for the coming years.

For the Buying team at Calvin Klein, product is everything — from building the strategy to trading it live across our DTC channels. We ensure we have the right product at the right time, curating the strongest possible assortment for our consumers. The scope of the Buying team is broad; we own the relationship with our global divisions and ensure that our vision, consumer insights, and product knowledge are consistently translated across all functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Planning team to create seasonal range plans and define detailed buy plans incorporating consumer insights, market trends, and commercial opportunities across all DTC channels.

  • Oversee the seasonal strategy for all DTC channels, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure brand consistency across channels.

  • Provide input to the Content, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing teams for creative briefs, ensuring cohesive storytelling across site and store environments.

  • Partner with Planning to analyze weekly sales reports and present key learnings, opportunities, and proposed actions during trade meetings.

  • Establish trusted relationships with divisional partners and maintain regular feedback loops on sales performance, market trends, and product opportunities.

  • Monitor sell-through performance across all DTC channels, proposing and executing trading actions to optimize results.

  • Collaborate with the Content, Site Merchandising, and Visual Merchandising teams to drive visibility and performance of key categories and products.

  • Create and execute seasonal and yearly strategies for the respective business areas, driving revenue and profitability across all channels.

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses into category and product performance to identify growth opportunities and actionable insights.

  • Support the Buying Manager with top-line strategy, cross-functional projects, and leadership presentations.

  • Stay in tune with market trends, competitor activity, and developments across all European markets.
