About the role:

The EMEA Brand Finance team provides strategic insights and guidance to drive TH and CK EMEA strategy and performance. The team services the dual brand structure to further advance the brand focus. This team looks at Retail Finance for O&O Full Price and Outlet and E-commerce Platforms, and investment management. You’ll be a key part of the finance team, working closely with both the brand finance group and brand leaders. You will help implement EMEA financial strategies and provide day-to-day financial insights to help make the brand plan succeed in the market.

As Commercial Finance Business Controller, you will focus on brick-and-mortar finance. You will do this through close collaboration with real estate in the areas of portfolio management and strategic expansion, and also in partnering across EMEA and the Hubs to review performance and track KPIs. A successful candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work with a business partnering mindset, highly collaborative, and feels comfortable working with multiple stakeholders. 

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with the Commercial HQ team and the EMEA FP&A team to establish and refine EMEA budget targets and re-forecasts.

  • Conduct detailed data analysis, identifying trends, patterns, and insights to support strategic decision-making and business growth.

  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators related to revenue and profitability.

  • Conduct regular financial reviews for retail stores, including sales and store-level KPIs, margin, and operating expenses analysis to ensure profitability and financial health.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business opportunities, assess store performance, and support decision-making on store openings, closures, and renovations, including thorough business case review and recommendations.

  • Understand the risks and opportunities of the business and translate them into financial plans, while communicating insights and recommendations regularly to management.

  • Support monthly financial planning and reforecasting in collaboration with the commercial team, incorporating current market trends to ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting.

  • Collaborate closely with buying and planning teams to ensure alignment of merchandise plans with financial targets, driving profitable inventory management and sales growth.

  • Develop and deliver reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis or related roles, preferably within the retail or fashion industry.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field, complemented by a hands-on personality and proactive approach.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets and develop data-driven recommendations.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in using BI tools (Tableau, SAP BW) and the Office suite, you are an advanced Excel and PowerPoint user.

  • Solid understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality business analysis deliverables on time and within scope.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Additional languages are a plus.
