The Team
Sitting within the wider HR team, the Employee Experience team is responsible for building and developing a strong workability culture with an engaged and healthy workforce.
We deliver exceptional service and support to our associates and people managers with the aim to increase engagement. We take the lead on ensuring that our end to end employee journey gives our associates and people managers the best experience possible during their career with us.
The Position
The People Advisor plays a pivotal role in shaping the associate experience by tackling complex employee lifecycle challenges. This role is not just about providing HR support—it's about proactively identifying, analyzing, and solving intricate issues across the employee journey to enhance efficiency, engagement, and service quality.
Blending deep HR expertise with strategic problem-solving and a service-driven mindset, the People Advisor drives a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role requires navigating multifaceted HR scenarios, offering tailored advice, and implementing solutions that address both immediate concerns and long-term organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary advisor and coach for associates and people managers on complex employee lifecycle events, including onboarding, performance management, benefits, compensation, wellbeing, career development, exit management, and personal life events (e.g., family leave, relocations).
Diagnose and resolve sophisticated HR queries by analyzing root causes, evaluating multiple solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams when necessary. Escalate issues thoughtfully with comprehensive context to ensure effective resolution.
Utilize the People Services Portal, direct interactions, and data-driven insights to manage, track, and resolve queries within defined SLAs, ensuring both speed and quality of service.
Partner closely with Centers of Excellence (CoEs), HR Business Partners, IT, and other business areas to streamline processes, enhance workflows, and address systemic issues impacting the employee lifecycle.
Design and deliver an exceptional onboarding experience by coordinating with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, Facilities) to eliminate friction points and continuously improve onboarding processes.
Analyze employee feedback, query patterns, and HR data to uncover trends, identify process gaps, and recommend strategic improvements that enhance the associate experience.
Conduct comprehensive exit interviews, synthesizing insights to inform retention strategies and improve organizational culture.
Act as a key contributor to HR projects and transformation initiatives aimed at refining employee lifecycle processes and driving organizational change.
Support crisis management efforts with agility and strategic focus, ensuring that employee-related challenges are managed effectively during critical situations.
Champion the Voice of the Associate by deeply understanding their evolving needs, advocating for their concerns, and ensuring HR services are aligned with their expectations.
The Ideal Candidate
Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
Minimum 3 years of HR Advisory experience and broad HR expertise
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex HR issues and develop innovative solutions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively advise, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on enhancing processes and delivering impactful results.
Strong project management capabilities with attention to detail and a strategic outlook.
High level of customer orientation / understanding of employee satisfaction
Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times, especially handling difficult situations
Interaction and advisory skills, high degree of empathy
High sense of urgency
Ability to use judgement and out of the box thinking to ensure efficient and sound resolutions/advice
Generalist knowledge on HR processes and guidelines
