POSITION SUMMARY:

All brands strategy, product development and innovation are led and driven by certain PVH affiliates in the US with respect to products under the Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger sold in NA, Asia and SA; and in the Netherlands with respect to products bearing the Tommy Hilfiger Europe, Calvin Klein Europe with respect and sold in the Asia region. The position in this job description helps the above mentioned PVH related parties meet their operating and strategic needs.

As a QA you will be in charge of the activities linked with the pre-production, production monitoring and quality assurance in the factory. This includes but is not limited to, in-line inspection, production trial validation, material check, final inspection and follows up of corrective action plans.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Pre-Production & Risk Assessment

  • Participate in the Risk Assessment, Pre-Production meetings & Pilot runs

  • Monitor bulk production to ensure compliance with PPS

  • Write/record the Pre-Production report accurately

2. Production

  • Perform In-Line & Final inspection

  • Monitor production quality and schedule

  • Report any production delays to the planning team

  • Ensure factory production controls (SOP) are in place and respected

  • Manage approval factory QA (FCQA) performance

  • Packing reviewing compliance

  • Conduct GMP audit

  • Follow up product safety & mold control effectiveness

3. CAP

  • Assist with CAP investigation and fact gathering

  • Follow up CAP & Report on their effectiveness

  • Follow up GMP audit failure & OQL findings

4. Reporting

  • Complete daily and weekly report about:

    • Pre-Production results

    • Production status and Quality

    • Final inspection results

  • Report monthly on factories improvement, systems, issues, innovation etc.

5. FCQA Training/daily management

  • Work with factory to select suitable quality candidates for factory certified quality auditor (FCQA) program in current factories.

  • Provide onsite training to FCQA based on brand’s quality expectation and customer requirements

  • Oversee and manage daily inspection activities of FCQAs

  • Lead FCQA to refine factory QA process based on audit findings, ensuring products meet or exceed customer quality expectations.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented setting; interface with Global Design and Supply Chain.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in footwear manufacturing and quality assurance within a fast-paced fashion environment.

  • College above

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel, MS Office

  • Able to prepare inspection reports, analyze quality data and communicate findings using photographs, tables and concise written summarizes.

  • Good command of Spoken and Written English

  • Mandarin speaking is advantage but is not mandatory

  • Willingness to travel frequently between factories in Vietnam
