About the Role:
The Senior Finance Manager, Global Outlet & Off Price, will be pivotal in supporting the Sr. Director in developing and executing financial strategic brand planning, setting margin and revenue targets, and margin engineering initiatives for off-price product lines on a global scale, and ensuring that financial performance aligns with business objectives. This role works closely with product teams, senior brand leadership, and regional teams, in alignment with full price finance brand planning team members, as well as other key stakeholders, to drive profitability and ensure financial goals are met across product lines. You will provide insights into pricing, cost structures, forecasting, and financial modeling to support decision-making for the Tommy Hilfiger Global organization.
What you'll do:
Financial Strategy Development:
On an annual basis, develop and implement long-term 3-5 year financial strategies to maximize revenue and profitability of Outlet and Off-price products, taking into account regional channel development, consumer trends, product aspirations, and overall brand strategic direction.
In collaboration with Global Planning, Product Merchandising, and Supply, provide strategic recommendations on pricing, cost management, and product investment decisions to drive financial performance.
Support in developing holistic long-term revenue and margin plans with regional finance teams (x-regional and brand alignment).
Seasonal Revenue & Margin Target Setting:
In collaboration with Global Planning, Product Merchandising, and Supply, set clear seasonal revenue, buy, and margin targets for each product Business unit within the outlet and off-price line, ensuring alignment with brand, channel, and region-specific goals.
Develop financial models to forecast and track seasonal product performance and profitability, including product cost development and its dependency on macro-economic situation and product pricing during the development phase up until procurement/buy placement.
Monitor financial KPIs to track progress toward targets and proactively address risks and opportunities in-season and adjust strategies as needed.
Align and scale targets to regional finance teams, who are managing the commercial execution of the Outlet and Off-price business
Global Margin Engineering (in close collaboration with Planning & Supply):
Assist the Sr. Director in developing and implementing financial strategies to enhance Outlet and Off Price product margins worldwide through cost reduction, pricing optimization, and mix management.
Conduct margin analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize profitability across all regions, considering the impact of channel, region, and product planning decisions on assortment and pricing.
Collaborate with the supply chain globally to understand cost drivers and make informed decisions on product margins, considering the sourcing and production strategies proposed by Product teams. In-depth understanding of all cost levers from macro-economic developments to fabric liabilities and their impact on the overall gross margin for the channel globally.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the budget input to regions for Outlet and Off-price product lines, ensuring revenue and gross profit expectations from the product side are accounted for.
Challenge and align regional Outlet and Off-price channel expectations with Global ones.
Review in detail regional financial forecasts and recommend product-relevant course corrections to meet targets.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis, presenting results to key stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the planning, product management, and regional finance and planning teams to understand product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies, as well as trading tactics.
Partner with planning and supply chain teams to ensure cost-effective sourcing and distribution strategies that align with financial goals.
Provide financial leadership in product development and innovation processes.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze financial performance by evaluating key metrics for Outlet and Off-price Globally, including revenue growth, cost of goods sold (COGS), product/go-in margin, and gross margin
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership, highlighting trends, insights, and opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting tools.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis within the fashion industry, with a strong understanding of brand planning and margin management on a global scale.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, Design, Product Development) in a global, fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations across regions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders globally.
Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques, as well as data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
Experience in facilitating knowledge and data sharing between regions to support a global financial planning process.
Strong understanding of cultural nuances and business practices in different regions.
High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
