The Team

The Senior Merchandise Product Manager, Footwear (FTW) will work in the Calvin Klein Footwear team and will support the Footwear Merchandising strategy by analyzing and implementing a global merchandising plan to inform decisions on product, pricing, positioning, and assortment on a global scale. This role will be responsible for working cross-functionally on the Women Footwear category, creating performance analysis and helping to optimize projective sales.

The Position

Merchandising:

  • Supporting the creation of merchandising tools for footwear

  • Create merchandising plans for Footwear category and track all development, open market Stock Keeping Units (skus ) and production skus.

  • Strategically build style/sku needs into one brand architecture

  • Bring global customer and market perspective to the design and product development process. Thoroughly understands the different brand's target customer by tracking attitude and lifestyle trends.

  • Analyse historical data and current trends to form seasonal strategy

  • Ability to apply trend forecast and influence product during development process using both market information and Brand Filters.

  • Collaborate with design and product development partners to meet costing targets on all products developed seasonally.

  • Ensure the successful implementation of merchandising strategies by providing direction to design and technical teams.

  • Create end of season analysis

  • Attend strategy meetings and assist in preparing any relevant presentations

  • Partner with regional merchants to align global needs in assortments

  • Understand and align calendar needs for regions, design, and product development

Analytics:

  • Maintain all category selling reports and communicate any notable sales/underperforming styles to cross-functional teams

  • Meet with Regional Merchants/Buying Team on a regular basis to understand slow movers and best sellers; understand client feedback from selling to proactively make necessary updates on merchandising plans

  • Create process for naming of products for efficient data capturing

  • Ensure all calendar deliverables are met, and to make sure proper preparation for milestone meetings

  • Track, and monitor progress of Hero product to strategize towards business growth and future development

  • Manage/track KPIs on Market and seasonal hindsight

Sales Optimization:

  • Drive Sales through assisting marketing and PR with proper product placement

  • Communicate all end of season sell in reports to PR and marketing in effort to push styles that will have a large store presence to optimize sales

The Ideal Candidate

  • 8-10 years of experience in Merchandising , experience in Footwear mandatory, in Women's sector is a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Strong business acumen, analytical aptitude and forecasting ability.

  • Knowledge of Footwear category for Designer fashion brands

  • Excellent attention to details and deadlines

  • Proven ability to multitask in a fast pace environment, able to manage competing priorities

  • Demonstrate strong influential listening, verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Passion and enthusiasm for fashion and merchandising
