About the Job:

The Workday HR Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting functional projects and activities on the Workday HCM platform. It will provide second-level support to the HR departments throughout Europe for our main HR Systems. This includes handling service requests, testing the applications, creating manuals on how to use the software and some light configuration changes in the systems. Requires expanded knowledge and experience in own area; incumbents are still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills. Builds knowledge of the company, processes, and customers

Experience:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Relevant 2+ years in Workday in HCM Core, and one or more of the following Performance, Recruitment, and Advanced Comp, overall 5-8 years experience in supporting enterprise HR applications

Workday HCM Experience Preferred

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities of the Job:

  • Identify business needs through working with local and global teams, undertaking research and analysis.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Workday solutions.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on system functionality in line with best practices and global governance.
  • Perform Workday system administration functions including security maintenance, business processes, data loads, integrations and release analysis.
  • Perform testing of application set-up, new features, and enhancements
  • Feasibility and Impact assessment for system improvements within core functionality.
  • Participate in regular reviews and prioritization of Workday projects and BAU support.
  • Issue management (uploads, tickets, backlog priorities)
  • Understand the downstream/end-to-end impacts of Workday changes on WD processes and other downstream systems, ensuring appropriate parties are included.
  • Perform testing and analysis to ensure the system meets or exceeds end-user requirements and standards and deployment.
  • Prepare documents, job aids, and communications to meet the needs of both internal People teams and other stakeholder groups. Ability to work directly with HR Partners from Europe
  • Translation of business needs into actionable technical projects, through writing and gathering business requirements and knowledge transfers
  • Mass upload transactions such as new hires, promotions, salary/allowance changes, terminations, etc. into Workday through EIBs
  • Ad-Hoc, Periodic & Audit Reporting. Other Workday skills with building custom reports and calculated fields, using EIBs, Web service
  • Creation of training materials, and provision of training to end users on the HR systems

Skills:

  • Knowledge of various other Workday Modules is advantageous. E.g. Reporting & Dashboarding, Security, and Onboarding.
  • Solid understanding of general HR Processes and Practices.
  • Passionate about HCM products and a passion to learn and mature the product.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • Ability to develop and present training to end users and/or technical training to HR partners
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience working with HR/organizational people data preferred
  • Experience and/or ability to work with diverse teams 
  • High level of integrity   
  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
  • Fluency in English
