The Department & Team
The Technical Development team develops and delivers both innovative and sustainable products for Tommy Hilfiger. Responsible for the end-to-end technical development of the product, from initial concept through to physical garments, pioneering high quality & product excellence, as well as delivering on company & divisional KPI’s.
Closely partnering with several stakeholders, from PD (Product Development), design & merchandising, through to global teams this role plays an intricate part in delivering the Tommy Hilfiger brand DNA.
The Position
Skilled and knowledgeable within technical development of apparel. Maintaining and updating our block libraries in collaboration with senior team members. Driving all new seasonal silhouettes developments across global supply base.
Manages the end-to-end technical development of assigned products, ensuring quality, fit, and timely execution. Partners with cross-functional teams to interpret design intent, communicate technical requirements, and deliver commercially viable solutions.
Collaborate closely with design, Merchandise, and product development to interpret sketches, create collections, understand market needs and achieve shared deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Include, but not limited to:
• Manage the technical development of assigned product groups from concept to production.
• Participate in fit sessions, document comments, and communicate changes internally and externally.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all technical data in PLM.
• Monitor and manage progress against the critical path to achieve on-time delivery.
• Act as the main technical contact between design, product development, sourcing, and quality.
• Identify and resolve standard technical issues, escalating complex cases where needed.
• Collaborate with global teams and vendors to maintain consistency in fit, quality, and construction.
• Support with ad hoc tasks such as sample organization, meeting preparation, and reporting.
The Ideal Candidate
2–4 years of experience in technical development within apparel.
Degree in fashion, garment technology, pattern cutting, or related field.
Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, and pattern development.
Familiar with PLM and other relevant software (e.g. Gerber or equivalent).
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Able to solve routine problems independently and follow established procedures.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Self-driven, pragmatic, and commercially minded.
Demonstrates PVH values: individuality, passion, accountability, partnership, and integrity.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
