Position summary:

The VP, Market Merchandising, Apparel– Calvin Klein Global, will be responsible for the Apparel strategy for all regions. They will work closely with the Global and Regional teams to develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising plan that aligns with the brand objectives. The role will involve building the global assortment to reflect brand initiatives and regional needs to increase sales and profitability.

Primary responsibilities/accountabilities of the job:

  • Build and implement the global merchandising strategy for Apparel aligned with the company's overall business goals, brand positioning, and target market.
  • Develop global range plan to reflect regional product needs, drive merchandising financial plan and increase global assortment efficiency.
  • Analyze regional market trends, sales hindsight, competitor activities to find opportunities for global product assortment improvements and differentiation during global concept kick off.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure product that meet consumer needs. Building categories strategies to ensure we have best sellers and locally relevant product to achieve the growth plan during collection co-creation and product development.
  • Establish global pricing structure and guidelines based on brand positioning and regional competitor's pricing to optimize sales and profitability while considering regional market dynamics and consumer value perception.
  • Build global assortment and must buy to reflect the brand product messages, and support regional needs to drive critical metrics during collection preview.
  • Collaborate with global planning team to develop categories budget to align growth plan.
  • Review regional buy to ensure regions cover and invest into global assortment key product initiatives.
  • Stay on top of and evaluate in season sales performance, product performance, and market trends to make data driven decisions and drive new season merchandising strategy.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and standard methodologies in merchandising and retail to drive innovation and maintain a driven edge!

Qualifications & experience:

Experience: 10+ years validated experience in merchandising roles, preferably in a global retail or e-commerce environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, merchandising, marketing, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail merchandising principles, including product assortment planning, pricing strategies, inventory management.
  • Validated knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape in the retail industry.
  • Outstanding communication and social skills to collaborate optimally with cross-functional teams and influence partners at all levels.
  • Strong discernment and a positive demeanor, with a focus on driving sales, profitability, and customer happiness!

Pay Range:$250,000 - $300,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
