About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for financial and general ledger governance, delivering accurate reporting, strengthening internal controls and assisting internal/external stakeholders in line with PVH policies and procedures. This will also include preparation of the month end / quarter end/ year end accounts, monthly reconciliations, managing the general ledger reporting and fulfilling the business’s statutory obligations.

Based at our Head Office in the heart of the CBD, located at 388 George Street, this is a full-time, 14-month fixed term contract, working from home and in the office weekly. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and process month-end, quarter-end, year-end closure process along with monthly journals (accruals, provisions, allocations).
• Review management reporting in the areas of Sales, GP margin, Royalty, Inventory Movement, Expense allocations.
• Manager the monthly division P&L reports to ensure accurate cost allocations and assist the Finance Analyst to provide accurate details for month-end results.
• Inventory forecasting calculation based on the inputs of the FP&A and Planning Team.
• Complete complex reconciliations, ensure integrity of control accounts and take prompt actions to resolve issues arising from balance sheet reconciliations and other reconciliations.
• Take ownership of stores and online order to cash reconciliation process as well as support the internal SOX and external audit function.
• Complete daily general ledger maintenance and management of system changes.
• Responsible for COA + Profit Centre master data management across ERP Systems.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Commercial Analyst, Financial planning and Analysis Manager to support with forecasting and any strategic projects or finance initiatives.
• Represent finance to support any process set up / improvement and collaborate with various internal business stakeholder and external stakeholder.
• Perform ad hoc financial duties as required by senior management including the Group Financial Controller and Finance Manager.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

• Degree qualified in an accounting discipline CPA / CA with 5+ years proven experience in a similar role.
• Minimum 3 years prior experience with SAP ERP accounting system.
• Advanced computer literacy – specifically Microsoft office (Excel and Power BI).
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skill.
• High attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Experience within the retail industry is desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously as part of a greater team.
