PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Together with the team, the role ensures all assigned projects are realized according to agreed planning, within given budget, and in the required design/quality levels. Clear and timely communication of all relevant project information, risks, challenges and showing up potential solutions is an essential element of the role.
The role supports store, SIS, outlet development by leading key strategic projects and other assigned branding initiatives (eg: pop ups, market launch set up, exhibitions etc) for the overall organization and team by also taking over cross-functional responsibility and leadership.
Manage and monitor store opening activities programs from design stage, submission to landlord, site possession, fixture ordering, site construction to store delivery with design intent on assigned projects on a periodic basis to ensure consistency of brand guidelines and standards as directed by Project Manager/Director of Store Development.
Liaise with other retail departments on relevant matters as required. (Operations, Visual Merchandising, Retail Systems, Planning & Buying)
Attend weekly design review meetings as required to maintain the overview of current individual project layout status.
Liaise with visual merchandising and windows team on project deadlines and individual requirements.
Review post-opening store pictures, to ensure the latest specifications are implemented and defects rectified within the agreed period.
Assist in setting up strategies for store project, sourcing, and procurement function; manage vendor & material sourcing and fixture prototypes across Asia Pacific; Supervise fixture and material suppliers for the region.
Ensure consistency of store build out, guidelines & brand standard.
Be the key contact point for store project counterparts.
Update cost plan/benchmark and store data periodically.
Provide project management services to local retailers of assigned markets / regions.
Conduct and organize workshops and training for markets within region.
Conduct regular market, site & factory visits and produce reports.
Assist in coordinating regional office project, renovation, and delivery.
Prepare deliverables for the store development team including but not limited to reports, programs, presentations, and drawings.
Functional Competencies and Skills:
Communication / Language
Very good communication and interpersonal skills
Independent and presentable
Excellent command of the English language – written and spoken
Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin
Computer / systems skills
Experience in architectural and design programs such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D and similar
Strong MS Office skills set and other relevant programs and systems such as MS Project, SAP etc.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in retail store project. Experience in site work supervision and retail store planning
Education: University graduate in Architecture, Interior design, or Project Management.
