The Team
The Product Strategy and Operations team is a key function within the organization, setting product strategies, translating those into actionable initiatives, and supporting Tommy Hilfiger product leadership to drive growth through long-term strategies. The Product Strategy team sets strategic frameworks, translates those into actionable inniatives and supports the Tommy Hilfiger product leadership team to drive growth through long-term and seasonal strategies. 



The Position
The Director Product Strategy is an integral member of the team who will consult with business partners to improve management of strategic initiatives and drive the process to shape our long-term product strategies. The role reports to the VP, Product Strategy & Operations.

The Director will craft and lead the development of strategic initiatives in support of our business units, addressing market, product, and consumer needs. The role will guide the execution of both growth-driving and efficiency-building initiatives by working closely with the business to lead strategic planning, cross-functional alignment, and embed strategies into the business. The individual will act as a trusted partner to business leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps and create transparency into results. 

This position also supports crafting presentations and communications materials for key executive moments to share and drive alignment against the product strategy across the organization. The role will also help shape inputs and outcomes across key planning and execution milestones in partnership with other functions and regions to drive strategic impact. 


Key responsibilities
Include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and develop the Product Strategy team

  • Provide clear direction, prioritization, and coaching, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities and high‑quality execution

  • Translate strategic priorities into realistic delivery plans, actively managing scope, sequencing, and dependencies to enable focus, pace, and sustainable outcomes

  • Proactively manage team capacity and workload, identifying risks and trade‑offs early and escalating where needed to protect delivery, quality, and wellbeing

  • Foster strong cross‑functional collaboration and alignment, ensuring clear ownership, decision‑making, and follow‑through across complex initiatives

  • Articulate and translate brand strategies into product growth initiatives with a 360 holistic view across all functions

  • Keep oversight of strategic initiatives across all businesses within the product organization

  • Be responsible to define scope, kick-off, manage and executing every phase of long-term strategic initiatives prioritized across the product business units:

  • Drive vision for plan towards clear business objectives, scope, requirements & success criteria

  • Create clear planning documents and roadmaps together with involved teams, including setup and maintenance of dependency management

  • Establish a solid governance routine and hold stakeholders and business partners accountable for the next steps and objectives, and proactively identifies risks and issues

  • Enable teams and leaders to make quality decisions and support prioritization exercises

  • With limited supervision, identify opportunities to improve the impact & experience for our stakeholders, partners, and our business, translating this into business cases.

  • Craft executive and seasonal updates and support critical communications

  • Support development and framing for key seasonal moments to drive transformation and strategic impact


The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic and organizational transformation skills and be able to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast‑changing environment. The candidate must be comfortable influencing without direct authority and bringing clarity, focus, and alignment in situations of complexity and ambiguity.

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, business strategy, or related roles

  • Experience working within a Fortune 500 / multinational company or a multinational consulting firm is an advantage

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Strategy, Economics, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent in experience

  • Strong strategic planning and strategy development skills, with the ability to translate long‑term brand and business strategies into actionable initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and prioritize work in complex, fast‑paced environments, setting clear expectations, managing trade‑offs, and enabling focus on the highest‑impact priorities

  • Proven people leadership capability, including coaching and developing team members, fostering high engagement, and promoting sustainable ways of working that support performance, resilience, and wellbeing

  • Strong ability to manage within uncertainty and complexity, maintaining momentum, quality, and sound judgment under pressure

  • Confident and effective communicator across all organizational levels, able to influence and align stakeholders and translate complex topics into clear, actionable messages in fluent written and spoken English

  • Nimble, commercially minded problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset and a focus on practical, creative solutions

  • Positive, collaborative team player with a strong partnership mindset and excellent cross‑functional stakeholder management skills

  • Strong understanding of, and passion for, the global fashion industry, including consumer behavior, competitors, and industry developments

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
