POSITION SUMMARY
All brands strategy, product development and innovation are led and driven by certain PVH affiliates in the US with respect to products under the Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger sold in NA, Asia and SA; and in the Netherlands with respect to products bearing the Tommy Hilfiger Europe, Calvin Klein Europe with respect and sold in the Asia region. The position in this job description helps the above mentioned PVH related parties meet their operating and strategic needs.
Product focus is including but not limited to men’s and women’s underwear including bras, active wear, outerwear, sweater and loungewear.
Strategically oversee the end-to-end technical development process across multiple product categories, ensuring consistency in fit, quality, and brand integrity. Build strong partnerships with Global Technical teams, Design, Merchandising, and Sourcing to align on seasonal direction, innovation, and executional excellence.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Strategically lead the technical development function, guiding a team of Garment Technicians and Assistant Managers to uphold fit excellence, SOP compliance, and operational efficiency.
· Ensure consistency and clarity in fit comments and documentation across all systems (e.g., Centric), driving alignment with global standards and business objectives.
· Champion a proactive risk management culture by overseeing garment construction evaluations, quality assurance, and testing protocols, while driving innovative solutions to mitigate risk.
· Maintain accountability for design intent across all size bases and development stages, ensuring timely resolution of technical challenges in collaboration with Design and Sourcing and Raw Material teams.
· Oversee sample T&A management in partnership with Hub Sourcing and vendors, ensuring timely execution and issue resolution through strategic vendor engagement.
· Lead the annual review and evolution of SOPs, ensuring they reflect current business needs and industry best practices; drive implementation across internal and external teams.
· Direct vendor training and accreditation programs, ensuring technical readiness and consistent execution of PP and Fit Approvals across the supply base.
· Build and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors and cross-functional leaders to support business growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
· Drive cross-functional alignment through effective communication, technical leadership, and knowledge sharing across global teams.
· Lead and sponsor key initiatives and projects focused on process innovation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement in technical development.

· Strategically manage resource planning and work allocation across global technical teams and vendor networks, aligning with seasonal priorities and business objectives.
· Provide final authority on resolving high-impact technical issues, including pattern, grading, and yield discrepancies, ensuring solutions are scalable and aligned with brand strategy.
· Set and uphold standards for sample approvals, fit consistency, and quality benchmarks across categories, driving accountability and excellence across the team.
· Lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, or methodologies that enhance product development, reduce risk, and support long-term brand growth.
· Influence cross-functional and leadership-level decisions by providing expert technical insights that balance innovation, cost, and consumer expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Apparel Technology, Fashion Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in garment technical development, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Deep expertise in fit development, patternmaking, grading, and quality assurance across multiple product categories.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams, driving cross-functional alignment, and influencing strategic decisions.
• Advanced proficiency in PLM systems, digital tools, and data-driven decision-making; experience with 3D fitting tools is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a track record of driving innovation and operational excellence.
Skills:
• Advance knowledge in garment technical development, including fit strategy, pattern innovation, grading logic, construction optimization, and quality assurance.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing high-performing technical teams, with a focus on coaching, delegation, and succession planning.
• Deep product expertise in complex categories such as swimwear, lingerie, and performance wear, with a strong understanding of material behavior and construction challenges.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate creative vision into technically sound, commercially viable solutions.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Influential communicator with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions, resolve conflicts, and align stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced proficiency in digital tools including Lectra, PLM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with 3D fitting and digital product creation is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively across global teams and vendor networks
